Oklahoma City PD upgrades to Group 4 Securitas AMAG system

The Oklahoma City Police Department has upgraded its access control system using the AMAG 425 system from Group 4 Securitas Technology Corp., Torrance, Calif. The system provides security for more than 1,300 officers in the headquarters building, four satellite briefing stations, a training center, the 911 facility and a crime lab.

The U.S. Marshals Service has selected MVM Inc., McLean, Va., to deliver security services and access control to two additional circuits within the federal court system.

A Federal Bureau of Prisons facility in Northern California has selected Primary Image, Orlando, Fla., to provide its digital recorder, 2^nd Eyes Enterprise, for video monitoring and security.

The City of Minneapolis Municipal Parking System has decided to move to a digitally-based CCTV system using digital video multiplexer/recorders with Ethernet capability provided by Kalatel, Corvallis, Ore.

InVision Technologies Inc., Newark, Calif., has received an order for its CTX 9000 Explosive Detection Systems for installation at Malpensa Airport in Milan, Italy.

The U.S. Department of State's border crossing ID card program has selected Drexler Technology Corp., Mountain View, Calif., to provide LaserCard Triple-Image ID cards. The cards will be used by frequent visitors from Mexico crossing the border into Texas, Arizona and California.

The United States Border Patrol has ordered Centurions, Digital Video Banks and a DVB playback station from World Wide Video Inc., Culpeper, Va., for use in monitoring the United States-Mexico border.

ExxonMobil has awarded a contract for the purchase and installation of Rochester, N.Y.-based Lenel Systems Intl. Inc.'s Onguard Enterprise system within 23 sites across Texas. Henry Brothers Electronics has implemented a Lenel system at the Westchester County Correctional Facility in New York.

The San Bernadino County (Calif.) Sheriff's Department has selected ImageWare Systems Inc., Jersey City, N.J., a partner of Visionics Corp., Minnetonka, Minn., to provide the Crime Capture digital booking system and Face ID facial recognition software.

Checkpoint Systems Inc., Thorofare, N.J., has completed a rollout of its Radio Frequency Electronic Article Surveillance (RF EAS) systems for Spanish hypermarket chain Alcampo. Checkpoint installed 2,100 radio frequency systems and integrated 2,000 deactivators into the scanners at Alcampo stores.

Zama Networks Inc., Seattle, has chosen to install a smoke and fire detection system by Notifier, Northford, Conn., a division of Honeywell International's Fire Solutions Group.

Ionit Technologies, Northbrook, Ill., has provided administrators at several Ohio school districts with complete electronic monitoring packages (Ionit PCcam) used from a desktop computer. U.S. Steel and Subway Sandwich restaurants have chosen similar systems.

The Hill School of Pottsdown, Pa., has selected Computrace, a PC tracking and loss control service provided by Absolute Software, Vancouver.

The government of Venezuela and the National Office of Election Processing of Peru have selected EasyPrint inkless fingerprint technology provided by Identicator Inc., El Segundo, Calif., for use in the election process.

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority has awarded Loronix Information Systems, Durango, Colo., a contract for mobile video security systems to be installed on up to 630 light rail vehicles and buses.
