Built-in Ethernet capability enables multiple printers on a network to continue to print while a ribbon is being replaced on one printer. The printer provides single-sided card printing and has an LCD display and security features such as programmable passcode and hardware key lock. The printer supports the supplier's TrueSecure varnish image printing and i-functionality to simplify card printing via automatic driver configuration.

The printer eliminates the need to print badges using a desktop or network printer which makes it useful in fixed security systems. Up to 32 badges per minute can be printed with 300 dpi image quality. The unit can print Code 3 of 9; Code 3 of 9 MOD 43; Code 128-A, B, C and Auto; Interleaved 2 of 5, ITF-14 and other barcodes allowing entry and/or egress to specific secure areas within a facility.

Prints on paper and plastic
The supplier's Tattoo monochrome printer now enables printing on plastic and paper cards. Cards are coated with semi-gloss paper. A BlackWAX ribbon with a high sensitivity level enables printing on any coated paper, as well as on plastic media such as ABS and cards with special varnish.

Digital ID Card Printer
Uses RFID
The digital ID card printer is available in two models: the P50i and P75i. Both printers use RFID technology to optimize image quality and enable automatic driver configuration and ribbon detection. The P50i is designed for smaller daily volume requirements, has a small footprint, produces single-sided, color or black-and-white cards or badges and has a 300 dpi resolution. The P75i features an LCD message center that indicates low ribbon message, remaining card counter and printing parameters such as printing status or clean printer message. It provides single-sided, edge-to-edge printing in color or black-and-white in under 25 seconds.

Field-upgradable options
The ID card printer provides modular, field-upgradable options including lamination and magnetic and/or smart card encoding. It includes the supplier's Build-A-Badge software, which enables the user to create and store customized badge designs, data and photographs. Users may choose from available card templates, or create their own designs.
