Crisis Information Management and Emergency Notification Software Solutions
Crisis information management software and emergency notification software are two technologies that are becoming much more popular in today’s homeland security-conscious world. Security professionals use these emerging technologies to assist with crisis management and business continuity planning. This presentation explains these technologies and provides information on how to choose and deploy the right system for your company.

Campus Strategic Security Initiatives Emphasizing Early Warning, Early Notification, and Layered Communication Systems
The Virginia Tech killings, Las Vegas school bus shootings, bomb threats, and other events have prompted many schools and institutions to procure Early Warning, Early Notification, Emergency Cell Phone, and other notification systems to respond to crisis situations. At the same time they must assure parents and students that their campuses are safe. This presentation offers solutions to the communications issues and gives a clear perspective of the differences between products that operate individually and those that operate as a layered and integrated solution using a single step to initiate response protocols.
Robert Lang, CPP, M.S., Assistant Vice President-Strategic Security and Safety, Kennesaw State University
Project Management in Technology for Emergency Preparedness
Project management in emergency preparedness requires a coordinated approach in and between the objectives: prevention, protection, response, and recovery. This session addresses project management best practices for fusion, critical infrastructure, key resource, and asset management in a government matrix environment supported by differing mission legislation and executive orders. Hear the lessons learned, challenges, and accomplishments experienced while managing emergency preparedness projects with stakeholders who bear and lead 24/7 missions.
