Facilitating Loyalty
Nov 1, 2007 12:00 PM
Here is a way to develop, encourage and maintain employee loyalty within your organization, according to “The Encyclopedia of Security Management,” by John J. Fay: Develop a “we will” package for all newcomers. This orientation package includes a “Welcome Onboard” card signed by other employees, coupons, a company T-shirt, a certificate and a frame for his or her new desk. The gesture allows employees to develop a measure of loyalty because they get feelings of both acceptance and respect for the contribution they are making. “The Encyclopedia of Security Management” is an “abbreviated synthesis” of previous works in the security industry dating back to 1957.
