HOW TO INCREASE TENANT AWARENESS
Dec 1, 2002 12:00 PM, GINA ARBEAU Coordinator, Security & Life Safety
Here is an idea our security department is incorporating in the downtown high-rises of Calgary, Alberta. Most of the buildings owned by the company I am employed under have ENN (elevator news network) and comments can be posted by different departments. Our security department has put together a few slogans to input on ENN that would increase tenants' awareness of security issues; for example, “Do you know the person who followed you into your office space?” Many tenants unknowingly allow “piggybacking” into secure areas of a building without questioning their access. We are hoping to bring tenant awareness up about not letting just anyone access a secure premise.
