School violence among topics at ISC/New York conference

The International Security Conference and Exposition (ISC Expo) will be held August 29-31, 2000, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. A highlight of the conference will be a School Security Symposium hosted by the New York City Police Department (NYPD) on Aug. 29, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The session will update police and school security officers and administrators on the latest information about preventing and responding to school violence.
The symposium will kick off with an Executive Breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. with NYPD Chief of Department Joseph P. Dunne as master of ceremonies. The keynote address will be presented by Patrick J. Sullivan, sheriff of Arapahoe County, Colo.
