Active involvement of staff is essential to implementing effective information security in any workplace.
The Information Security Poster Pack from IT Governance Ltd., Ely, England, is designed to raise employee awareness of data security and to drive the essential changes in their behavior. In order for a company or workplace to implement effective information security, it has to successfully inspire active involvement of its staff, says IT Governance.
The glossy posters catch the worker's attention, and include visual appeal and wry humor to offer informative messages on one of these six topics:
awareness of what a social engineering attack looks like;
why weak password practices expose the whole company;
how to identify and respond to security incidents;
understanding appropriate ways to protect sensitive information, whether written or spoken; and
how to spot “shoulder surfers” and be generally aware of security practices.
In addition to encouraging active involvement in best practice standards, the posters can help companies get one step closer to ISO 27001 certification, the international best practice standard for information security management systems. ISO 27001 makes clear the need for effective information security awareness training for employees, contractors and other visitors.
With these posters, IT Governance provides a resource that can be placed almost anywhere in the office to build awareness and offer a long-term campaign to help employees understand how their individual actions contribute to improved overall security.
IT Governance also provides books, tools, training and consultancy for governance, risk management and compliance.
