SENIOR SPECIALIST SECURITY SYSTEMS

This position will assist the Assistant Chief Security Officer with the planning, management, administration and operation of all electronic security systems. In addition, this position will have overall management responsibility for the Security C3 Supervisor, C3 Operators and all 24/7 C3 operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in System Development Administration and Project Management with a wide variety of software products and platform, which includes: knowledge in data and voice communication networking; graphical user interfaces; database configuration and management; electronic security system design and component specifications; installation and maintenance of Software Applications; Close Circuit TV (CCTV) systems; physical security access control and Intrusion detection systems; web-based information storage and retrieval systems; and real-time query-based user interaction systems.

• Strong leadership and decision-making ability.
• Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact productively with internal/external customers.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments with fluctuating priorities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access) for report preparation and/or comparable applications.
• Knowledge of electronic access control, intrusion detection and CCTV security systems.
• Broad background in technology used in security and/or communication systems. Demonstrated experience in Project Management.
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures and quality control processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to identify problems and evaluate alternative solutions.
• Strong ability to read and understand schematic diagrams and technical documentation.
• Must be available 24/7 as required, including rotating shifts and weekend and holiday coverage.
• Knowledge of standard safety and security policies and procedures.
• Geographical familiarity with New York metropolitan region.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Preferred Education/Experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business and/or related discipline.
• Familiarity with emergency (Police/Fire/EMS/911) or central station dispatching. Familiarity with Lenel, Pelco and Siemans security equipment and/or comparable level of products.
• Certified Protection Professional (CPP).
• NIMS Certifications; IS700 & IS100.
