Siemens Building Technologies Inc., Buffalo Grove, Ill., a provider of building controls and security systems, has acquired MAC Systems Inc., Canton, Mass., a security systems integrator.

Tyco International Ltd., Pembroke, Bermuda, a provider of security products and services, has agreed to purchase all assets of Sensormatic Security Corp. (SSC).

Surveillance Specialties Ltd., Wilmington, Mass., an integrator of security systems, has acquired the assets of door hardware firm Advanced Lock Co. LLC, Milford, N.H.

HP, Palo Alto, Calif., a provider of security services, will purchase Colubris Networks, Waltham, Mass., a manufacturer of wireless networks for enterprises and service providers.

NAPCO Security Systems, Amityville, N.Y., a manufacturer of security products, has acquired Marks USA, a New York-based manufacturer of industrial and commercial locks.

Andrews International, Los Angeles, a service provider of security and risk mitigation services, has acquired Seventrees Corp., Benton Harbor, Mich., a specialized uniformed security, personal protection, special event security and training services company.

The private equity fund managed by The Blackstone Group, an investment firm, will acquire AlliedBarton Security Services.

Orsus, New York, a developer of situation management, is partnering with Verint Systems Inc., Melville, N.Y., a provider of actionable intelligence, to enhance security with extended video capabilities.

Sagem Morpho Inc., Tacoma, Wash., a provider of multi-biometric systems, and BIO-Key Int. Inc., Wall, N.J., a provider of finger-based biometric systems, have partnered to develop biometric technology.

Inovonics Wireless Corp., Louisville, Colo., a provider of wireless security products, and MAXxess Systems Inc., Anaheim, Calif., a developer of IP-based frameworks, have partnered to develop an integrated product.

American Security & Investigations, St. Paul, Minn., a provider of security guards, is partnering with Iveda Solutions, Mesa, Ariz., a video surveillance company, to offer real-time camera surveillance over the Internet.

Pivot3 Inc., Palo Alto, Calif., a provider of high-definition storage products, and Vidicore, Dusseldorf, Germany, a physical security technology manufacturer, have agreed to build Pivot3's channel partner network in Europe.

The National Burglar Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) and the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) have joined forces to launch the Security Industry Recruiting Center, providing an online source for matching qualified job seekers with security industry employers.

Johnson Controls Inc., Milwaukee, a security systems provider and integrator, has aligned with Carter Brothers LLC, Atlanta, a company that offers electronic security, fire and life safety products and services.

ioimage, Denton, Texas, a provider of intelligent video appliances, has signed an agreement with e-Convergence Solutions, a specialized distributor of presence, security and convergence technologies, to distribute ioimage products to data networking VARs in North America.
