ADT to sell facial recognition technology by Visionics Corp.

ADT Security Services Inc., a part of the Tyco Intl. Fire and Security Services unit, Boca Raton, Fla., and Visionics Corp., Minnetonka, Minn., have begun a strategic relationship to promote and resell Visionics' FaceIt ARGUS system. ADT will market the system within its Federal Systems and Aviation Division. Visionics has also partnered with ATC Biometric Technologies, Miami. ATC will install and implement FaceIt for use in a major American international airport.

Aiphone Corp., Bellevue, Wash., has committed to donating 250 door entry intercom systems to be installed in Habitat for Humanity homes in the state of Washington over the next five years.

Vigilos Inc., Seattle, has formed an alliance with PCSC Inc., Torrance, Calif., to create connectivity between Vigilos' Avanta security software and PCSC's Ultimate, IQ and SIM series of access control panels. Vigilos previously announced the Avanta system added access control functionality.

The American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), Alexandria, Va., and Webster University, St. Louis, have jointly created an online graduate degree program in organizational and business security management.

Mayflower Sales, Brooklyn, N.Y., has added Jackson exit devices and concealed door closers, RCI electronic strikes and Roton continuous hinges to its inventory.

Lockheed Martin, Gaithersburg, Md., and Absolute Software, Vancouver, have agreed to a partnership in which Lockheed's computer tracking and theft recovery services will use the Computrace security platform.

Broadware Technologies, Cupertino, Calif., and Security Network of America have partnered to sell SNAVision, a branded version of Broadware's remote video access system.

Global ID Technologies, Attalens, Switzerland, has signed a commercial cooperation agreement with Panel Elektro, Turkey, to provide Global ID's RFID solutions. Panel Elektro is a supplier of explosion-protected equipment.

InfoGraphic Systems, Garden Grove, Calif., has appointed Burhans-Burhans to sell TOPAZ, a software system for access control, security, alarm monitoring and photo ID badging applications. Z-Marketing was also appointed to sell the TOPAZ system.

Radionics, a division of Detection Systems Inc., Salinas, Calif., has entered into a partnership with Lenel Systems Intl. Inc., Pittsford, N.Y., in which Lenel will reconfigure its access control technology into a new product line, ReadyKeyPro, for Radionics.

Panasonic Security and Digital Imaging Co., Secaucus, N.J., has formed an additional sales zone to cultivate new market opportunities. The new central zone, located in Elgin, Ill., will supplement the company's east and west zone offices.
