Notre Dame buys monitoring system by Keltron Corp.
Notre Dame University, South Bend, Ind., has purchased a DMP703 Series Alarm Monitoring System by Keltron Corp., Waltham, Mass., from Communications Co., South Bend, Ind.
AXCESS Inc., Dallas, is working with New York-based Logicraft Corp. to provide digital video transmission and recording, as well as automatic identification to aircraft fueling efforts at JFK International Airport, New York.
Checkpoint Systems Inc., Thorofare, N.J., has been selected by Big C Supercenter, Bangkok, Thailand, for the chainwide installation of radio frequency electronic article surveillance systems. Also, Checkpoint has been mandated to install its radio frequency electronic article surveillance security systems chainwide in Kmart, Lincraft, Bing Lee, and Supre stores in Australia.
Galeries Lafayette, a Paris department store chain, has chosen the acousto-magnetic anti-theft technology by Sensormatic Electronics Corp., Boca Raton, Fla., for installation in its 60 locations. Also, supermarket chain ASDA, United Kingdom, has expanded its security program by installing Speed-Dome cameras and Intellex digital recorders by Sensormatic in many of its locations.
EIRIS, a local positioning system based on infrared technology by ELPAS Ltd., Tel Aviv, Israel, has been installed in a large diamond mine in Africa. The positioning system was put in place to prevent diamond theft by employees and visitors from the mine's safe-rooms, final-sorting rooms and other areas.
9832 FOX-dBm digital broadband multiplexer by Fiber Options, Bohemia, N.Y., will be installed at the San Francisco International Airport. The full turnkey fiber-optic system will deliver video, audio and data transmission for the airport rail system. The system has also been installed at St. Louis' MetroLink for surveillance and monitoring commuter volume on the train platform. Also, 9900V multiplexers by Fiber Options were chosen by Suncor Energy Inc., Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to link portable refineries at Fort McMurray in Alberta.
Drexler Technology Corp., Mountain View, Calif., a provider of LaserCard optical memory cards and associated peripheral devices, has received an order for 250,000 digital LaserCard optical memory cards to be used as smart/optical cards in the state of Gujarat, India, as high security registration cards for motor vehicles.
The Detection Systems Group of PerkinElmer Instruments, Woburn, Mass., has announced that the United States Customs Service has accepted delivery of their Mobile Truck X-Ray inspection system. PerkinsElmer has worked with U.S. Customs to design and build a system that meets stringent requirements regarding detection performance, imaging capabilities and field reliability.
Superview 500 by RGB Spectrum, Alameda, Calif., has been chosen to support Chicago's 911 Emergency Communications Center. Superview offers multi-input display processors.
