Applications: Sensormatic gets Expo contract

Sensormatic Electronics Corp., Boca Raton, Fla., has been named the official supplier of access control and closed-circuit television for Expo 2000 in Hanover, Germany. EXPO 2000's central security system which will cover the entire common exhibition area encompassing more than 5.2 million square feet. Additionally, individual country and organization pavilions will have the option of connecting this main security system through the use of additional Sensormatic equipment. Running from June 1 to October 31, 2000, EXPO 2000 is one of the largest events scheduled for the year 2000 with pavilions from 191 countries or international organizations and is expected to attract more than 30 million visitors.

Viisage Technology, Littleton, Mass., has selected Zebra Technologies' Eltron P500 card printer, Camarillo, Calif., for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections identification system.

Sensormatic Electronic Corp. Boca Raton, Fla., reported that it has recently signed or completed the installation of seven new contracts with applications ranging from prisons, casinos, and stadiums to highway monitoring in Argentina.

Corporate Security Management, Altamonte Springs, Fla., has been hired to install security, fire and CCTV systems in the new Q-Sports club in Fort Worth, Texas.

International Electronics Inc., Canton, Mass., has received an order from QuikStor, its partner in the public self-storage marketplace, for a serial communications controller. The order, valued at approximately $250,000, is expected to ship during the second and third quarters of FY 2000.
