ASIS Develops Guide For DHS Advisories
Dec 1, 2003 12:00 PM
ASIS International has developed a Threat Advisory System Response Draft Guideline (TASR) designed to assist companies in complying with the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) threat advisory levels.
ASIS has crafted an incremental process, with each successive color building upon its predecessor, to augment the system.
The objective of the TASR is to meet the need for a tool that is both applicable and understandable to the private sector. It is also intended to provide sufficient detail to be of practical use to the general public.
The committee received input from the DHS and the General Accounting Office (GAO) and the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council for Critical Infrastructure Protection and Homeland Security (FSSCC) to write the guidelines.
