Asynchrony Solutions Inc., St. Louis, has announced the release of PDA Defense Enterprise, the newest addition to its data security software line for handheld devices. PDA Defense Enterprise uses a unified Windows-based policy editor to set and implement handheld security policy across the enterprise for Palm, Windows Pocket PC and Blackberry devices. The product uses a feature set to lock-down handheld devices, allowing administrators the ability to mandate password control including minimum length, alpha and numeric characters and forced time-based password changes. Once installed, users cannot disable the password protection without intervention by an administrator.

TeleEye Group, Hong Kong, has introduced Cyber TeleEye Web Video Solution, a development tool to help create, build and manage live video on existing Web pages. The video page can be built on login database systems. To facilitate management and security control, the Web administrator can assign different authorization levels of video access to different locations or cameras. The video page supports functions such as telemetry control, alarm notification, live and playback video and adjustable image quality and resolution. It can distribute compressed live videos from four TeleEye video transmitters to multiple Internet users at the same time.
