Feb 1, 2003 12:00 PM
The American Bus Association (ABA) has released an Anti-Terrorism Action Plan to help improve safety and security of bus operations.
The four goals of the plan are:
To promote security vigilance among operators through increased awareness and a new partnership with law enforcement;
to serve as a starting point from which companies can develop targeted plans and materials;
to preserve the motorcoach industry as the nation's strategic transportation reserve; and
to help protect critical transportation infrastructure.
The plan adopts the color coding system used by the Homeland Security Advisory System. For more information, visit www.buses.org
