Sony Electronics, Montvale, N.J., has launched a 24-hour repair service for its CCTV products. In conjunction with the program, Sony has established a centralized repair center at the Chicago Regional Repair Center, Niles, Ill. All products received at the service center by noon will be repaired and shipped back to the customer the next day. The program covers all current CCTV products and will be supplemented by a flat-rate price for servicing of products not under warranty.

Continental Instruments, acquired in 1989 by Sensormatic, Boca Raton, Fla., has been repurchased by John Banks and Stan Ward. Banks has been elected president and will operate the business as a privately owned entity with sales and marketing performed worldwide through independent dealers and manufacturers' representatives. Continental Instruments is headquartered in Edgewood, N.Y.

Keystone Manufacturing Ltd., Scarborough, Ontario, has formed a new technology division, Keystone Technologies. The company has also been named as a value-added reseller of DataCard's thermal image printers. The security division of DICE Corp., Bay City, Mich., has formed a new company with TRG Associates called Systems Support Inc. The new venture will employ accounting professionals to provide setup and training for the DICE accounting systems being installed for large accounting customers in the security industry.

Security Investing, a monthly newsletter for investors in publicly traded stocks of manufacturers who market products to the security and crime-control industries, recently profiled Paravision, an overhead, suspended lighting product for illuminating gaming tables, made by Santa Ana, Calif.-based Tivoli Industries.

Andover Controls Corp., Andover, Mass., has announced its building automation systems are year 2000-compliant. The company says all Andover Infinity and AEclipse controllers, SX 8000 front-end software and the earlier AC256, AC256Plus, AC8 and AC8Plus controllers will accurately handle the transition from the year 1999 to 2000. The real-time clocks in the products have been tested and will track across 23:59 31/12/99 to 00:00 1/1/00.
