Anixter International Inc., Glenview, Ill., has named Synergis Systems, Edmonds, Wash., as its preferred access control vendor.

Applied DNA Sciences Inc., Los Angeles, has signed an agreement with New Jersey-based ECSI International Inc. as a Value Added Reseller (VAR).

Schlage, a division of IR Security & Safety, Forestville, Conn., has announced that its electronic-cylindrical locksets are now available from Mayflower Sales.

Cansec Systems Ltd., Ontario, Canada, has contracted Rodkin Sales Agency, Ontario, to develop distribution partnerships across North America.

SecuraKey, Chatsworth, Calif., has named Access Hardware Supply, San Leandro, Calif., as a national support center.

Announcements

S2 Security Corp., Wellesley, Mass., has announced that its networking product will support Irvine, Calif.-based HID Corp.'s proximity, Wiegand and iCLASS access control cards and readers; and New Jersey-based Panasonic Security Systems' network security cameras.

USProtect, San Diego, has teamed with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in response to the massive wildfires that spread throughout Southern California in October by establishing seven emergency sites in San Diego. There were 11 sites in operation with more than 15 security officers providing continued 24-hour coverage at each post.

SecurityNet, San Jose, Calif., a has added Exton, Pa.-based The Protection Bureau as its 16th member, with responsibility for SecurityNet business in eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware and middle and southern New Jersey.

OzVision Israel and OzVision America have agreed to join the two companies and establish OzVision Global. OzVision Israel, the manufacturing and research and development arm, was established in 1995. OzVision America was launched in 2001 as the marketing and distribution division.
