INGERSOLL-RAND CO. LTD., Bermuda, has acquired SECURITY ONE SYSTEMS, a security-systems integrator based in Florida.

SMITHS GROUP PLC, Edgewood, Md., has agreed to acquire ETI TECHNOLOGY INC., Boston, a specialist in the detection of harmful biological agents.

DIEBOLD INC., North Canton, Ohio, has acquired ALARMAS ADLER, a security provider based in Monterrey, Mexico.

HID CORP., Irvine, Calif., and GE SECURITY, Austin, Texas, have signed an agreement granting GE a worldwide, non-exclusive license for HID's proximity technology.

INTEGRAL TECHNOLOGIES INC., Indianapolis, has partnered with CHECKPOINT SYSTEMS INC., Thorofare, N.J., allowing Integral to offer IP cameras, remote monitoring and administration technologies to the retail sector.

CONSOLIDATED BANKING SERVICES, Alpharetta, Ga., has added access control products from PACOM SYSTEMS, Sarasota, Fla., into its security equipment portfolio. COVI TECHNOLOGIES INC., Austin, Texas, has partnered with OBJECTVIDEO INC., Reston, Va., to combine rules-based object tracking from CoVi video surveillance cameras with ObjectVideo's intelligent video surveillance software.

HONEYWELL, Syosset, N.Y., and HID CORP., Irvine, Calif., have expanded their partnership, under which HID will supply Honeywell with contactless access control card and reader products, and Honeywell will develop new products based on HID's iCLASS technology.
