Garda World Security Corp., Montreal, has completed its acquisition of Kroll Security Intl., the international high-risk asset and personnel protection division of Kroll Inc., New York.
The Stanley Works, New Britain, Conn., has agreed to purchase HSM Electronic Protection Services, Lisle, Ill., a provider of security alarm monitoring services and access control systems. Stanley will fold HSM into its newly formed business unit, Stanley Convergent Security Solutions.
Tyco Fire and Security, Boca Raton, Fla., has acquired Retail Expert Inc., Boston, a retail data analytics firm.
Securitas Systems AB, Stockholm, has acquired 75 percent of the Italian company CIS SpA, a security systems integrator for the Italian banking sector.
ISI Security Group, San Antonio, will be acquired by Argyle Security Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company dedicated to acquiring companies in the security industry. ISI will continue as a wholly owned subsidiary of Argyle.
Computer Sciences Corp., El Segundo, Calif., has agreed to acquire Datatrac Information Services Inc., a privately held U.S. government services and solutions provider headquartered in Richardson, Texas.
Agreements
Bioscrypt Inc., Toronto, has formed a partnership with Artemis Solutions Group, Freeland, Wash., under which ASG will distribute a private label BioCert version of Bioscrypt's VeriSoft Universal Security Client as a core component of its Road Warrior Security Bundle. ASG has also been named an authorized value added reseller (VAR) of VeriSoft Access Manager.
On-Net Surveillance Systems Inc., Suffern, N.Y., and S2 Security Corp., Wellesley, Mass., have formed a strategic partnership that will integrate the OnSSI IP surveillance NVR and Intelligent Video Delivery platforms with the S2 NetBox integrated physical security management system. On-Net has also partnered with AgileMesh, Richardson, Texas, to provide video surveillance solutions over rapidly deployable wireless mesh networks, mainly for the use of public safety forces including SWAT, HAZMAT, emergency rescue and firefighter teams.
Trijay Technologies Intl. Corp. (TTI) has integrated iCLASS technology from HID Global, Irvine, Calif., into its ST5i handheld terminal product designed for the new generation of chip-based ID cards. The ST5i now has the ability to read/write to HID iCLASS 13.56 MHz contactless smart cards and standard issue contact smart cards, read biometric fingerprint data, as well as to allow for secure validation and identification of an individual card holder.
Arteco Vision Systems, St. Louis, has partnered with DSP Integrity, Dallas, an independent representative in the states of New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas.
Segway Inc., Bedford, N.H., and Uniformity Inc., Northbrook, Ill., have entered into an agreement naming Uniformity as a commercial market reseller for the Segway Personal Transporter (PT).
CellMax Systems Ltd., Tel Aviv, Israel, and PCS Revenue Control Systems Inc., Englewood Cliffs, N.J., have jointly developed of a voice recognition-based identification, verification and payment system for school cafeterias. The system will be piloted in Q1 2007.
Stanley Security Solutions, New Britain, Conn., has partnered with STOPware, San Jose, Calif., a Brady company, under which Stanley will market and sell the PassagePoint visitor management solution from STOPware.
NovusEdge Inc., Austin, Texas, has announced that its EdgeProtect IP-based asset protection suite has been chosen as main component of the Facility Explorer Asset Protection solution from Johnson Controls, Milwaukee.
CipherOptics Inc., Raleigh, N.C., and Above-Net Communications Inc., White Plains, N.Y., have teamed up to significantly increase the security and scalability of high performance metro optical networks.

HID Global Corp., Irvine, Calif., has announced that its North Haven, Conn., manufacturing facility has been awarded the Connecticut Silver Shingo Prize. The award serves as recognition of a company that has solved challenging manufacturing process problems.
ASI Group formally inaugurated its new headquarters in Houston, Texas, on Dec. 5. The 10,000 square-foot-facility will house the 24/7 Intelligence and Operations Center along with administrative, accounting and sales divisions.
