ASSA ABLOY, Sweden, has acquired Pemko Manufacturing Co., Ventura, Calif., a maker of door components.

AvaLAN Wireless, Palo Alto, Calif., has acquired intellectual property from Eleven Engineering, a fabless semiconductor company, in a cash and stock transaction. The intellectual property is related to Eleven Engineering's ETHx product line — AvaLAN has acquired the rights to produce custom silicon implementations based on Eleven Engineering's XInC2 micro-processor core.

Pivotal Vision LLC, Minneapolis, has purchased ScadaCam, a “smart camera” product line from Powel Inc., St. Paul, Minn. Pivotal Vision has assumed all ScadaCam customers, projects in progress and projects in development.

Agreements

Toshiba Surveillance IP Video Products Group, Irvine, Calif., has formed a technological alliance with Genetec Inc., Montreal, to jointly develop software that integrates Toshiba IP Network cameras with Genetec IP Video Surveillance, IP Access Control and License Plate Recognition solutions.

Saflink Corp., Kirkland, Wash., has formed a source code license agreement with Biometric Associates Inc., Washington, a developer of user authentication systems, for Saflink NetSign for mobile middleware.

Card Scanning Solutions, Los Angeles, has partnered with Digimarc Corp., Beaverton, Ore., to license Digimarc's IDMarc system for authenticating U.S. driver's licenses.

ADI, Melville, N.Y., has formed an agreement with Digimerge Technologies, Markham, Ontario, Canada, to market a line of advanced Pentaplex Network Digital Video Recorders to the North American security industry.

Ciber Inc., McLean, Va., has formed a partnership with Universal Guardian Holdings Inc., Newport Beach, Calif., to jointly promote Ciber's Harbor Management and Security System (HMS) for maritime domain awareness, port safety, port security and port operations with Universal Guardian's strategic security services and integrated global supply chain visibility systems.

CoVi Technologies, Austin, Texas, has announced that its Certified Solution Provider (CSP) program is available to security and IT integrators globally. The program is designed to develop integrators properly trained and certified to sell, install and maintain the CoVi Crystal High-Definition surveillance system. CoVi has also announced that its Security Camera Area Network (SCAN) has received certification from Lenel Systems, Rochester, N.Y. CoVi is an existing member of the Lenel OnGuard OpenAccess Alliance Program (OAAP).
