Tyco International, Princeton, N.J., a provider of security products and services, has acquired Trident Tek Inc., Germantown, Md., a developer of video surveillance solutions.
Somerset International Group Inc., Bedminster, N.J., a security technology holding company, has acquired Fire Control Electrical Systems Inc., North Plainfield, N.J., a supplier of fire and security equipment.
Technology security company Macrovision Corp., Santa Clara, Calif., provider of solutions enabling businesses to distribute their digital goods to consumers, is purchasing the assets from Cryptography Research Inc., San Francisco, whose technology allows customers to add security protections to film.
