MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS

HID Corp., Irvine, Calif., has acquired the card and reader business of Dorado Products Inc., Broomfield, Colo. Dorado cards and readers will be branded as “Dorado by HID.”

InVision Technologies Inc., Newark, N.J., has completed its acquisition of XYLON International Holding GmbH, Hamburg, Germany, a provider of X-ray diffraction and non-destructive testing.

JM Resources, King of Prussia, Pa., has merged with Val-Tech Security Services, Princeton, N.J., and has acquired select accounts from Monroe Alarms, Egg Harbor, N.J.

Viisage Technology Inc., Littleton, Mass., a developer of facial recognition technology, has agreed to acquire ZN Vision Technologies AG, Bochum, Germany in a common stock exchange. ZN Vision is a European marketer of facial recognition technology.

Visionic Technologies Ltd., Tel Aviv, Israel, has acquired ELPAS Local Positioning Systems, Ra'anana, Israel, a provider of asset management solutions.

The Chamberlain Group Inc., Elmhurst, Ill., has acquired the assets of Automatic Gate Supply, Valencia, Calif., a manufacturer of commercial door and gate operators and related access control products.

AGREEMENTS

The Joint Council on Information Age Crime (JCIAC), a coalition of professional anti-crime and security organizations, and the Security Industry Association (SIA), Alexandria, Va., have joined forces to increase awareness of technologies and services available to prevent and respond to information crime.

NICE Systems, Ra'anana, Israel, and ISR Solutions, Chantilly, Va., have entered into a national distributor agreement, in which ISR will add the NiceVision line to its own.

Texas Instruments RFID (TI-RFid), Dallas, has teamed with ScreenCheck, The Netherlands, to offer ScreenCheck's card management system with TI access control solutions. TI-RFid has also formed an OEM agreement with AMAG Technology Group, Torrance, Calif., which will resell TI RFID cards and readers.

HID Corp., Irvine, Calif., has joined the Fargo Technology Alliance — a global technology group from Fargo Electronics Inc., Eden Prairie, Minn. On Track Innovations Ltd., Rosh Pina, Israel, has also joined the Fargo Technology Alliance.

DVTel, Paramus, N.J., has entered a strategic alliance with Storage Technology Corp., Louisville, Colo., to create an enterprise security system to fit into an existing Ethernet environment.

COPS Monitoring, Williamstown, N.J., has agreed to add technology from OzVision, Lynn, Mass., to its central station services, which will allow e-mail notification of alarm events.

Videolarm, an Atlanta-based CCTV manufacturer has named Camden Marketing, Mississauga, Ontario, as its exclusive sales representative group in Canada.

NKL Cash Handling, New Albany, Ind., a member of the FKI Security Group, will integrate with point-of-sale technology available through Oklahoma City-based Order-Matic and will use the company as a distributor.

Keri Systems, San Jose, Calif., has selected Veri-Series fingerprint readers from Bioscrypt Inc., Van Nuys, Calif., for biometric verification in access control installations.

Verint Systems Inc., Woodbury, N.Y., has announced the integration of its Loronix Video Solution with Internet-Protocol (IP) network cameras from Axis Communications, Chelmsford, Mass. The company made an agreement for the integration of its Loronix solution with the CCURE access control system from Software House, Lexington, Mass.

Vindicator Technologies Inc., Austin, Texas, has made its advanced security systems available through Lockheed Martin, Gaithersburg, Md., a provider of systems integration services to the U.S. federal government. Vindicator has also partnered with ADT, Boca Raton, Fla., to make its advanced security solutions available from the ADT Federal Systems Division of ADT Security Services Inc., a business unit of Tyco Fire and Security.

RLE Technologies, Ft. Collins, Colo., and Axis Communications, Chelmsford, Mass., have partnered to enhance RLE's mission-critical Falcon monitoring platform with Axis cameras.

Secure identification specialist TSSI, U.K., Lenel Systems International Inc., Rochester, N.Y., and ScreenCheck, The Netherlands, have agreed to integrate iCLASS technology from HID Corp., Irvine, Calif., into their respective product lines.

SecurityNet, San Jose, Calif., a network of North American security systems integrators, has added Columbus, Ohio-based Acree Daily Corp. as its fifteenth member. Acree Daily will have responsibility for SecurityNet business in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky and Indiana.

Brience Inc., San Francisco, has joined the Bedford, Mass.-based RSA Security's Secured Partner Program to create an access management solution with the Brience Secure Collaboration Gateway software and RSA ClearTrust software.

The Finx Group Inc., Boca Raton, Fla., and its wholly owned subsidiary, Secured Portal Systems Inc., has entered into an agreement with Advanced Biometric Security LLC, Littleton, Mass., which gives each company non-exclusive marketing rights for each other's security product lines.
