Honeywell International, Fremont, Calif., has announced that its Ademco Integrated Systems Division has formed a new, enhanced integrated access control systems group named “NexWatch.” NexWatch is an access control manufacturer for high-end systems. It will consist of the enterprise-level Pro-Watch NT system and the PW-5000 modular control panel, formerly marketed by the Engineered Systems Group of Northern Computers, as well as the entire WSE product line. In addition, the new company will be supported by MIC, (now renamed Surveillant) an access control software company Honeywell recently acquired.

Frisco Bay Industries Ltd., Montreal, and RDS Data Group Inc., Simcoe, Ontario, have announced an alliance in which RDS will integrate Frisco Bay's digital video technology into its Quick Service Advantage point-of-sale solutions for the entertainment and hospitality industries.

DVP Corp., Rockville, Md., has changed its name to InHand Electronics Inc. to reflect its focus on the handheld OEM market.

Sensormatic Electronics Corp., Boca Raton, Fla., has announced that the Enterprise Connector by SAP, San Jose, Calif., will allow the real-time transfer of information between Sensormatic's C•Cure 800 security management system and SAP's Enterprise Resource Planning system's human resource database component.

Philips Communication, Security and Imaging, Atlanta, is holding technical training on its newest digital product offerings. From March until the end of April, Philips will host training on digital products in 26 cities throughout the U.S. Important basics on digital recording, hands-on demonstrations and systems capabilities are the curriculum for the two-and-a-half hour sessions. The Home and Building Control Division of Honeywell, Fremont, Calif., and ELPAS Local Positioning Systems, Southlake, Texas, have entered into a strategic partnership agreement, under which ELPAS Local Positioning System will be integrated into Honeywell's Enterprise Building Integration solution, to enable real-time location and identification of critical assets throughout the enterprise.

Datacard Group, Minnetonka, Minn., has acquired Contec GmbH, Darmstadt, Germany, a designer and developer of laser engraving systems used to produce secure identification cards and passports.

RF Technologies Inc., Brookfield, Wis., and Sovereign Tracking Systems LLC, Brick, N.J., have announced an exclusive reselling agreement under which RF Technologies will become Sovereign's exclusive master distributor for the healthcare market.

VASCO Data Security International Inc., Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., a provider of security solutions, has signed a letter of intent to acquire Identikey, Brisbane, Australia, a security software company.
