Sensormatic forms alliance with Systems America, San Jose Sensormatic Electronics Corp., Boca Raton, Fla., has formed a strategic alliance with Systems America, San Jose, Calif., to integrate security management and enterprise resource planning/e-business applications. Also, Sensormatic has formed a strategic sales and marketing alliance with Vector Security, Manassas, Va., whereby Sensormatic will offer its customers alarm installation and monitoring services through Vector Security.

Security Services and Technologies, Norristown, Pa., has been named No. 360 among the fastest growing private companies in the country by Inc. magazine, which released its annual ranking of the Inc. 500.

Raytheon Commercial Infrared, Dallas, has signed agreements with two major distributors in Europe and the Middle East. Bfi Opitlas, an Avnet Company, will offer Raytheon infrared thermal imaging systems in seven European countries, while Atlas Telecommunications will cover the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain.

Samsung CCTV, Carrollton, Texas, has moved its offices and warehouse. The new location is 1621 West Crosby, Suite 104 in Carrollton.

Alarm Automation Surveillance Group, Farmers Branch, Texas, has added additional services to the company. The supplier of alarm, access control and CCTV systems to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area has added guard services with "Personal Protection Specialist" to provide executive protection in corporate ad non-corporate environments.

AlarmX.com Inc., San Francisco, has signed an exclusive strategic alliance with PSA Security Network, Denver. PSA has agreed to place orders over the Internet through AlarmX.com's business-to-business Web site.

Corporate Security Management Inc., a national retail security provider, Altamonte Springs, Fla., has formed a new corporation and venture, Vision Capture Inc. As an application service provider, Vision Capture Inc. will offer video retrieval, archival and delivery technology to the retail marketplace.

Cirrus Logic Inc., Austin, Texas, and IndigoVision Plc., Edinburgh, Scotland, have signed a letter of intent to jointly develop a real-time networked video capability for Cirrus Logic's Maverick product line related to creation of a miniature digital CCTV camera.

Fiber Options, Bohemia, N.Y., has appointed Timarron Partners Inc., Southlake, Texas, as manufacturer's representative for its security product line.

Safewww Inc., Uniondale, N.Y., a provider of identity protection and authentication products for business and personal Internet transactions, has announced a corporate move to the U.S. from Israel.

Lenel Systems International Inc., Rochester, N.Y., has placed 112th on the 2000 Deloitte and Touche Technology Fast 500, published in Forbes magazine. The list ranks North America's 500 fastest-growing technology companies - both public and private - based on five-year revenue growth.

NICE Systems, Ra'anana, Israel, has signed an international distribution agreement with Bell Group. Under this partnership, Bell Group will market, sell and support Nice Vision, NICE's digital video and audio recording solution.

Ingersoll-Rand, Woodcliff Lake, N.J., has partnered with CISA, a door-hardware company based in Faenza, Italy, to co-market the companies' security products and expand their presence in international markets.

NOTIFIER Fire Systems, Northford, Conn., part of Honeywell International's Fire Solutions Group, signed a joint venture agreement with Shenzhen Fuan Security Systems Co. Ltd., Shenzhen City Guangdong Prov P.R. China, The joint venture creates the Shenzhen Honeywell-Fuan Fire Alarm Equipment Co.

Panasonic Security Systems Group, Secaucus, N.J., has appointed Pacnor Marketing Inc., Mukilteo, Wash.; TJB Sales Inc., Grayson, Ga.; and Summit Sales and Marketing, Des Moines, Iowa; as sales representatives to handle the company's growing line of CCTV systems products.

The Scarman Centre at the University of Leicester, Leicester, United Kingdom, has received the go-ahead to pioneer a Foundation degree, a new type of vocational degree course in security and risk management. The course will begin in September 2001.

METASeS, Atlanta, an Internet security solutions and services firm, and SecurityFocus.com, San Mateo, Calif., a provider of security information services, has announced a strategic partnership that provides vulnerability data to subscribers of METASeS' Securite-STAFF.com, a Web-based, managed security service.
