Sensormatic forms alliance with Systems America, San Jose Sensormatic Electronics Corp., Boca Raton, Fla., has formed a strategic alliance with Systems America, San Jose, Calif., to integrate security management and enterprise resource planning/e-business applications. Also, Sensormatic has formed a strategic sales and marketing alliance with Vector Security, Manassas, Va., whereby Sensormatic will offer its customers alarm installation and monitoring services through Vector Security.
Security Services and Technologies, Norristown, Pa., has been named No. 360 among the fastest growing private companies in the country by Inc. magazine, which released its annual ranking of the Inc. 500.
Raytheon Commercial Infrared, Dallas, has signed agreements with two major distributors in Europe and the Middle East. Bfi Opitlas, an Avnet Company, will offer Raytheon infrared thermal imaging systems in seven European countries, while Atlas Telecommunications will cover the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain.
Samsung CCTV, Carrollton, Texas, has moved its offices and warehouse. The new location is 1621 West Crosby, Suite 104 in Carrollton.
Alarm Automation Surveillance Group, Farmers Branch, Texas, has added additional services to the company. The supplier of alarm, access control and CCTV systems to the Dallas/Ft. AlarmX.com Inc., San Francisco, has signed an exclusive strategic alliance with PSA Security Network, Denver. PSA has agreed to place orders over the Internet through AlarmX.com's business-to-business Web site.
Corporate Security Management Inc., a national retail security provider, Altamonte Springs, Fla., has formed a new corporation and venture, Vision Capture Inc. As an application service provider, Vision Capture Inc. will offer video retrieval, archival and delivery technology to the retail marketplace.
Cirrus Logic Inc., Austin, Texas, and IndigoVision Plc., Edinburgh, Scotland, have signed a letter of intent to jointly develop a real-time networked video capability for Cirrus Logic's Maverick product line related to creation of a miniature digital CCTV camera.

Panasonic Security Systems Group, Secaucus, N.J., has appointed Pacnor Marketing Inc., Mukilteo, Wash.; TJB Sales Inc., Grayson, Ga.; and Summit Sales and Marketing, Des Moines, Iowa; as sales representatives to handle the company's growing line of CCTV systems products.
The Scarman Centre at the University of Leicester, Leicester, United Kingdom, has received the go-ahead to pioneer a Foundation degree, a new type of vocational degree course in security and risk management. The course will begin in September 2001.
