Silent Knight and Northern Computers Inc. (NCI) have signed a two-year, multi-million-dollar agreement to jointly manufacture and market security systems hardware. The agreement enables NCI to market the Silent Knight Census 4821 Security and Access Control System as the N-750 to dealers.
Stellar Security Products, Sunnyvale, Calif., has signed ADI, Syosset, N.Y., as a domestic distributor of its Intelli-FLEX Intelligent Fence Sensor.
Alpha Systems Lab has added two overseas distributors to its roster of dealers, distributors and representatives for its RemoteWatch PRO product line: Hesa S.p.A. of Milan, Italy, and Detection Systems of Hong Kong and Australia.
Checkpoint Systems Inc., Thorofare, N.J., has acquired 2M Security ApS, which had been Checkpoint's exclusive distributor for retail security products throughout Denmark since 1992. The acquisition supports Checkpoint's strategy to be a direct sales competitor in major markets worldwide.
Ultrak will unify its four national professional security and surveillance sales forces into a single selling group. The Ultrak Professional Security Group will be organized into three geographical regions and will service distributors, dealers and national accounts.
Atlanta-based Internet Security Systems Inc. (ISS), a network security assessment tools and technology company, has announced that SecureIT, an Internet services provider, has joined ISS' Security Partner Program.
Lockwood Greene has named Charles Hopkins as head of its New York security systems division. Hopkins has more than 15 years experience in the application, design and installation of telecommunications, security and fire detection/suppression systems for airport, commercial and government facilities.
Fiber Options has appointed Barbara Butler as director of marketing and communications. She holds an M.B.A. in finance and international business and has worked in marketing communications for more than 15 years.
Robert B. Morrison has been named as vice president of sales and marketing for SpectaGuard Inc.'s New England region.
Glenn Tompkins has joined KingAlarm as a branch manager in Elmsford, N.Y., and Jim Hawthorne has been appointed manager of the Doraville, Ga., branch.
