C.O.P.S. Monitoring unveils new tower, helps family in need

C.O.P.S. Monitoring, Williamstown, N.J., has merged with Security Command Center Inc., a New Jersey central station with approximately 7,600 accounts. C.O.P.S. unveiled a new AES radio tower site in the state, which will enhance coverage. C.O.P.S. also volunteered to monitor for free a security system installed at no charge by Digital Security Systems, Philadelphia. The system was installed for a family with a 5-year-old girl afflicted with leukemia after the family's apartment was burglarized.

InfoGraphic Systems, Garden Grove, Calif., and PSA Security Network, Denver, a national security systems integrator, have formed a partnership to allow PSA to sell InfoGraphic Systems' product line. InfoGraphic has also expanded its training program to include SAPPHIRE Pro and DIAMOND II classes. Additionally, PSA has added fire and life safety systems to its product line.

The National Monitoring Center Inc., Newport Beach, Calif., has been established as the newest UL-listed and FM-approved contract central station serving the electronic security industry. The company will finish building a central station facility in Orange County, Calif., this month.

HID Corp., Irvine, Calif., has translated its reader installation manual into multiple languages. HID's MiniProx, ThinLine and ProxPoint Plus readers now come with installation manuals in English, Chinese, Japanese, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

Blick USA Inc., Monterey, Calif., has entered into a non-exclusive agreement with the Radionics Division of Detection Systems Inc., New York. Blick will provide Radionics with Readykey and Easykey access control systems.

Sensormatic Electronics Corp., Boca Raton, Fla., has partnered with Biocentric Solutions Inc., Madison, Wis., which will provide biometric solutions to be integrated with Sensormatic's security management system.

Axcess Inc., Dallas, announced a Certified Business Partner Program designed to increase uniformity, accountability and productivity between Axcess and its business partners.

Nexus Group Intl. Inc., Burlington, Ontario, has announced that Graphco Technologies Inc., Newtown, Pa., and its AcSys Biometric Corp. have agreed to co-develop and market a facial recognition solution for the surveillance marketplace using Nexus' HneT neural networking technology.

RSA Security, Bedford, Mass., has acquired Securant Technologies Inc., and its ClearTrust authorization solution.

Ingersoll-Rand Co., Woodcliff Lake, N.J., has acquired the Kryptonite Corp., Canton, Mass., which will become part of the residential security unit of Ingersoll-Rand's security and safety sector.

Hirsch Electronics, Santa Ana, Calif., recently celebrated its 20^th year of providing high-security access control to the governmental, corporate, industrial and institutional sectors.

Image Data, Nashua, N.H., has changed its name to Identico Systems LLC.

GVI Security Inc., d.b.a. Samsung CCTV, Carrollton, Texas, has trademarked the term OCTV (Open Circuit Television) and has begun to market the term actively within the security industry. The company also has entered a distribution and development pact with Axcess Inc., Dallas, to distribute Axcess' ActiveTag and Prism Video lines.

Johnson Controls, Cardkey Security Solutions, Simi Valley, Calif., has selected Pelco, Clovis, Calif., as its preferred CCTV provider.

Street Smart Securities Inc., San Diego, a wireless division of Honeywell, has changed its name to Street Smart Technologies Inc.

Digital Security Controls Ltd., Ontario, has joined Tyco Electronic Product Group, a business unit of Tyco Intl. Fire and Security Services, Exeter, N.H.
