CSR Names Akers Keynote Speaker

Gregory Akers, senior vice president and chief technology officer for global government solutions and corporate strategic security programs at Cisco Systems Inc., has been named the keynote speaker for the 2005 Corporate Security Roundtable (CSR), Redefining SecurITy - Achieving a Balance program, scheduled for Feb. 6-8 in San Diego.
Akers served as the president of the IT-Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC) organization in 2002, and has extensive background in information security, intellectual property protection, security solution certifications and cyber-warfare.
Akers will address the integration between physical and IT security systems and prepare attendees for the next generation of networked physical security devices.
