Eyes On The Bridges

New York City's Triborough Bridge & Tunnel Authority (TBTA) has tightened security in and around New York City with the help of video surveillance systems. New CCTV equipment, provided by North American Video, Brick, N.J., provides the TBTA with real-time monitoring and recording video surveillance capabilities for the city's major bridges, tunnels and roadways. In addition to providing authorities with timely information on the daily traffic flows in and out of NYC, the video surveillance systems provide an efficient way for law enforcement officials to maintain a watchful eye over NYC's infrastructure. Digital camera systems by Panasonic, Pelco and Extreme CCTV were used.
