Piccininni promoted to v.p. of sales at Hirsch

John Piccininni has been promoted to vice president of sales for Hirsch Electronics. He will head worldwide sales efforts from the company's headquarters in Irvine, Calif.

Martha Lee has been appointed as executive vice president of Perimeter Products, Mountain View, Calif. Lee, who will report to president Mike Trimble, has been with the company since 1986. Sentry Products, Santa Clara, Calif., has named Kenneth Bays general manager.Bays has been the company's director of operations for the past five years.

Becky McNeeley has accepted the position of system manager with Trans Union Employment Screening Services, Cleveland.

Checkpoint Systems, Thorofare, N.J., has named Thomas Upshur to the newly created position of senior director of radio-frequency identification marketing and product management. He reports to Michael Smith, executive vice president.

Bruce Richter has been appointed as director of engineering and manufacturing for PanaVise Products, Reno, Nev. Richter's responsibilities will include design and engineering of new products, upgrades to existing products, and supervision of the manufacturing process, from raw material purchasing to order shipping.

International Total Services, Cleveland, has promoted Steve Leigh to national sales manager, security division. Leigh has been with the company since 1994.

Nuwave Technologies, Fairfield, N.J., has named Peter Sandin eastern regional sales manager for the company's Prowave division.

Lee Russell has been promoted to vice president of operations for Decatur, Ga.-based Videolarm. Russell, who will oversee purchasing, warehouse and shipping operations, has been with Videolarm since 1992.

Mitch Winden has been hired as north central sales manager for Stentofon Communications, Kansas City, Mo.

DoorKing, Inglewood, Calif., has expanded its staff with two new regional sales managers and an inside sales consultant. Jim Wilkes joins the company as regional sales manager for Southern California, Arizona and Nevada. Dan Torres has been hired as regional sales manager for Northern California. Stephanie Wilson has moved from the company's order entry department into the position of inside sales consultant.

Computrol Security Systems, Burnaby, B.C., Canada, has promoted Andy Hartmann to the newly created position of manager, systems engineering and service. Hartmann has been with the company since 1994.

Crown Technical Systems, Cleveland, has named Joy Nemetz as sales manager. Nemetz will be responsible for increasing Crown's growth in the aviation and commercial security markets.

Napco Security Systems, Amityville, N.Y., has named Bob Swoope as national sales manager for its alarm lock division. Swoope brings to the position 24 years of experience in the locksmith industry and is based in Southern California.

Meridian Technologies, Inwood, N.Y., has hired Jim Connors as national sales manager. He brings to the position 14 years of experience in fiber-optic video, audio and data network system designs.

Jim Kauker has been appointed executive vice president of sales and marketing for Navco Security Systems, Anaheim, Calif. Previously, Kauker was western regional manager for Pinkerton's system integration division in Walnut Creek, Calif.
