Fujita named as TOA's new president

Hiromi Fujita has been named president of TOA Electronics, South San Francisco, Calif. Fujita replaces Hiroyuki Nishiyama, president of TOA for the last six years. Nishiyama is returning to Japan to work on a new assignment for TOA Corp. Jeff Pallin, director of marketing, has been promoted to vice president.

Thomas Kirk, former supervisory special agent of the FBI and manager of corporate security for Centerior Energy Co., has joined International Management Assistance Corp. (IMAC), Cleveland, a contingency planning and crisis response company, as director, security operations.

American Protective Services, Oakland, Calif., recently hired Michael Cole as contracts manager. Most recently, Cole was with PG&E's nuclear division, where he negotiated and managed contracts. American Protective Services has also hired Marie Wilson as legal counsel. Previously, Wilson served as in-house counsel for Perkins Inc., a subsidiary of Holiday Inn.

Jay Thompson has been appointed to the newly created position of corporate director of marketing and sales for Whelan Security, St. Louis.

Cypress Computer Systems, Metamora, Mich., has appointed Michael Moll, president of MDM Marketing, Canoga Park, Calif., as its access control products sales representative for Arizona, California, Hawaii and Nevada.

Videolarm, Decatur, Ga., has promoted Timothy Pollock to warehouse manager. Steve Pruitt has been promoted to inside sales representative.

David Welch has been named the new managing director of Northern Computers (UK) Ltd. He is responsible for all European operations, including Germany and France.

Charles Kistler has been appointed vice president, private network sales at Numerex Services, Willow Grove, Pa. Previously, Kistler was national sales and marketing manager for DCX Systems.

HID Corp., Irvine, Calif., has promoted Peter Lowe to vice president of development engineering and Michael Edmiston to vice president of manufacturing operations. David Sullivan has been promoted from North American sales manager to director of sales. Eric MacRae has been hired as Mid-Atlantic regional sales manager. Susan Haffke has been promoted to inside sales manager. Bette Pricer has joined the company as customer service manager.

Borg-Warner Protective Services Corp., Chicago, has appointed Patrick McNulty president of its Southeast business unit. McNulty will be based in Atlanta and will report to John O'Brien, president of Borg-Warner Protective Services.

Urban Property Services Co., Chicago, has named David Foster account executive for its UrbanWatch remote video monitoring service.

International Total Services, Cleveland, has promoted Brian O'Dell to vice president, customer service. O'Dell will be responsible for ITS' customer service department and its programs, including performance management, quality assurance and client survey distribution and evaluation. He will also oversee the company's training department.

Lockwood Greene Engineers, New York, has named Jack Caloz head of its New York telecommunications/security systems division. Previously, Caloz served as president of Electronic Systems Associates.

Go-Video, Scottsdale, Ariz., has appointed Thomas Wade as national sales manager for GVI Security, a new position in the company's security products division.

Tamron Industries, Farmingdale, N.Y., has appointed Steven Beaulieu as western regional sales manager of Tamron's industrial optics division.
