GE Interlogix recently announced the winners in its 8th annual Innovation Awards contest, with the winners announced in Costa del Sol, Spain, during the 18th annual GE Interlogix National Dealer Sales Meeting.
Digilarm Security Systems, Tinley Park, Ill., took the Grand Prize in the 2003 Innovation Awards contest with its installation at the 1,000,000-square foot Sweetheart Cup Co.
Here are the winners by category:
Best Wireless Residential Installation: Fire, Burglary Alarms Inc., Rockville, Md., for its installation at The Ambassador apartment complex in downtown Washington, D.C.
Best Wireless Commercial Burglary Installation: Digilarm Security Systems, for its system securing the 1,000,000-square foot warehouse distribution facility for Sweetheart Cup Co.
Best Wireless Commercial Fire Installation: Certified Security Systems, Spokane, Wash., for a fire system that protects the Campbell House, one of Spokane's first concrete and brick mansions.
Most Innovative Use of Wireless Technology: American Detection Specialists, Springfield, Mo., for its Concord/UltraGard system installed at a senior citizen retirement complex.
Best Residential Integration System: American Electronics, Omaha, Neb., for a system protecting a 14,000-square foot home in Lincoln, Neb.
Best Commercial Integration System: Security Systems of America, Pittsburgh, for its installation at the City of New Kensington's water treatment facility.
