Incorporated in 1987, ImageWare Systems, Inc. is a publicly traded software and services company specializing in digital imaging and database management. Headquartered in San Diego, the company utilizes its imaging technology to develop software used to create smart and secure photo ID credentials as well as criminal booking and investigative applications. The ID Group of ImageWare Systems, Inc. was created by the merging of three security firms formerly known as Imaging Technology Corporation (ITC), Goddard Technology and G & A Imaging Ltd. The combination of these established key players has created a world leader and the largest developer of software applications, tools and services for the electronic photo identification and secure document industry.

Technologies

With a decade of accumulated technological leadership, the ID Group has expanded its base expertise in data and image capture, secure ID card and document output to include smart card, Web-based solutions, biometrics, database management, custom and integrated solutions. Integrated solutions consist of interconnects with legacy systems, access control systems, student information systems, library and food services applications, time-and-attendance systems, and financial and human resources applications. In addition, ImageWare currently holds six imaging patents.
