INTERNATIONAL FIBER SYSTEMS, INC. (IFS), specializes in the advancement in fiber optic technology. IFS offers more than 300 analog and digital fiber optic transmission products for use in transmitting video, audio, and data signals over optical fiber.

MARKET SERVED

IFS fiber optic transmission equipment is in use worldwide in a variety of markets and applications. IFS serves the security market with products used for transmitting CCTV, Access Control, Fire and Alarm signals over optical fiber. IFS also serves the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) market with fiber optic transmission equipment for transmitting video for Vehicle Identification (VIN); and data signalization for traffic controllers and Variable Message Signs (VMS). IFS products are also used in building automation and control as well as post-production and broadcast applications. Our new Orion^™ Fiber Optic Communication System is an 11,000 input or 128 output virtual matrix switch that provides system designers with a cost-effective fiber optic transmission system platform for video, data and contact closure communications. The system utilizes industry-standard MPEG-2 compression to encode and de-code the video and high-quality fiber optic transceivers to set a new standard for video quality in applications where large numbers of CCTV cameras need active monitoring.

IFS offers an industry first with our fiber optic Design Center where Consultants, Engineers, and Integrators can get solid design assistance via a toll-free number. Our experienced team of application engineers is dedicated in their effort in providing innovative solutions. Services include project CAD drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), data sheets, and connect drawings to assist the designer or integrator in doing it right the first time. In addition, IFS offers 12-hour technical assistance during weekdays for installation and post-sale support.
