Prior experience: Before joining Bristol-Myers Squibb, I worked for four years as a special criminal investigator with the New York State Attorney General's office.

Education: M.B.A., with distinction, New York Institute of Technology, 1984.

B.S. in accounting, State Univer- sity of New York, 1981; B.A.A. in criminal justice, Florida Atlantic University, 1977.

Personal: Married for almost 20 years with three children - two daughters and one son, ages 17, 15 and 9.

Leisure activities: Tennis, golf, jogging and weightlifting.

Hero: Ronald Reagan.

Personal philosophy: Do the right thing, and do it right the first time.

Most treasured possession: My cufflink collection - particularly my presidential cufflinks, which were a special gift.

Most cherished ideal: The importance of family, and balancing work and family responsibilities and commitments.

Greatest challenge: The greatest challenge facing me now is to balance the demands of my 1998 ASIS presidency, the demands of my position with Bristol-Myers Squibb - and family - successfully.

Greatest reward: Nothing comes close to my three beautiful children and my lovely wife. They are my greatest rewards in life.

Goals for the future: As the 1998 ASIS president, I will try to inculcate into the minds of security professionals that they are business people and should think like business people and that they need to develop business skills to survive during these changing times.

At Bristol-Myers Squibb, I will work to find new and creative, value-added ways to maintain our corporate security department's preeminence among security departments worldwide.
