Receiver meter

Detects, displays transmitted electronic energy

Meter is similar to a sensitive wideband receiver with signal strength indicators. The usable bandwidth extends from less than 10MHz to more than 4.50 GHz. The instrument detects transmitting devices at various distances. High sensitivity enables users to tune-up low-power QRP transmitters and determine antenna radiation patterns from a distance to measure RFI signals and pinpoint RF leakage in cables. A manually adjustable sensitivity control adjusts the gain over >20 dB range.

Features: detection and display system, linear and log modes.

Fingerprint verification reader

Template stored on smart card

Fingerprint template is stored in user's smart card rather than in the reader or central database. Users not wanting to replace their existing cards may affix a stick-on BioPatch to the existing card to provide contactless smart card functionality. An optional Secure Transmission Authentication Receiver (STAR) module is available for use with the supplier's Secure Transmission Mode (STM) of operation. In this mode, data is encrypted and transmitted to the STAR module located inside the access control panel. The module decrypts the data and passes it to be processed by the access control panel.

Features: can be used on doors that do not require biometric authentication, 13.56 MHz technology, read range of approximately 2 in.

Electric door strike

Reversible for right- or left-hand doors

Door strike for metal doors converts cylindrical lock sets to an electronic access control locking system. Combined with a digital keypad, the unit ensures high security while eliminating the need for a key. Door strike is powered by a solenoid and has a jaw strength of 2,000 lbs, with a stainless steel lip. An optional lip extension bracket is available.

Features: tested to one million cycles, 150mA at 24v DC.

Access management

On-line or off-line control

Controller can be configured to operate in three modes including batch online, interactive or stand-alone. Interactive mode provides intelligence on the host PC, with the host software making real-time decisions about access rights. In the batch online mode, the access controller uses local intelligence (downloaded periodically), performs decisions and passes the data back to the host for processing. In the stand-alone mode, the controller operates independent of a PC through an intelligent badge manager function, allowing badges to be added or deleted from individual controllers using a master badge.

Features: each controller can be configured to restrict access, anti-passback, up to 256 controllers can be networked to a single serial port.

Key management

Authenticates user's identity

Metal enclosure with display and keypad authenticates user's identity through RFID and biometric applications. If access is granted, keys are dispensed from the system. Management system integrates with existing automation systems and controls from 10 to 1,000 keys at each location.

Features: standard management reports, 11-gauge steel cabinet.

Smart card technology

Mutual authentication

Contactless smart cards use semiconductor technology based on 13.56 MHz frequency. Readers can read data from cards compliant with read/write, read-only and Mifare serial number standards. All radio frequency data transmission between card and reader is encrypted using a secure algorithm. Card data may be protected with DES or triple-DES encryption.

Features: cryptographic data storage, secure reading and writing of data, mutual authentication and user-identifiable access keys.

Fire and security alarm monitor

Alarm, trouble and supervisory relays

Printer is up to 10 times faster than supplier's 3500 and 3000 models. Upgrades include AC line voltage from 90 to 240v AC and a CPU with 128K of additional program Flash, RAM and EEPROM. The printer's rear panel has four additional high-speed serial ports and four supervised EOL inputs, three of which accommodate custom options. Relays provide alarm, trouble and supervisory output. The system monitors conventional and addressable FACP panels by fiber, audio, RF, Ethernet, LAN/WAN, wire and other inputs.

Features: choice of supervised backup battery unit including LCD display and “Aux” communications port.
