1. Touch Screen Manages turnstile lanes

   The touch-screen system uses real-time observations to manage flow control of turnstile lanes. The system provides live people counts entering and exiting, with running totals per lane and alarm modes.

2. Door Closer Spring adjust feature

   The Grade 1 door closer meets ANSI/BHMA A156.4 requirements and UL and UL10C positive pressure requirements for fire openings. The closer has a cast-iron body and a spring adjust for optimum power setting. Internal features include a triple-set chrome silicon wire and improved closer oil to allow the closer to function well at temperature extremes and with reduced friction. Closer has captured valves and optional Torx security screws for tamper-resistance. Retrofit plates allow for replacement of the 4040 or 4010 closers without modifying the door prep. Feature: available with plastic or metal cover in sprayed or plated finishes.

3. Smoke Detectors For high-ceiling installations

   The single-ended, reflected-type smoke detectors feature a four-wire design and have an optical sight and built-in, two-digit signal strength meter for easier installation. Available with an integral sensitivity test module, the detectors provide 16 to 328-foot protection coverage in a broad operating temperature range, to give early warning in environments where temperatures reach extremes. The detectors have four sensitivity selections along with two Acclimate settings that adjust sensitivity using software algorithms to select the optimum level for a specific environment.

4. Composite Cables For pan/tilt/zoom cameras

   The PTZ composite cables are available in riser and plenum versions and eliminate the need for pulling individual video, power and control cables. The individual, color-coded cables are affixed to a center spline, thus eliminating the need for an overall jacket. The cable package includes one RG-59 coaxial cable (for video), 1-pair 18-AWG cable (for power) and one 23 AWG UTP or one 22 or 18 AWG STP (for control).

5. Pan/Tilt/Zoom Dome Cameras High-resolution color

   Available in high-resolution color with 22X optical zoom or day/night resolution color with 23X optical zoom, the dome cameras can be viewed and PTZ-controlled from any location via the Internet. Both versions are available in indoor and environmentally-protected outdoor versions. They feature MPEG-4 compression for optimum picture quality and transmission speed. A decoder is also available for connecting the cameras to an analog video system.

6. Color ID Card Printer Badging software

   The color ID card printer includes ID badging software and Windows drivers; users add their own PC and Web-cam. The printer has a drop-in dye-sublimation ribbon cassette and card dispenser and prints full-color edge-to-edge images in 30 seconds.

7. Computer Graphics Interface For addressable fire alarm control panels

   The computer graphics interface is for the supplier's 600 series of addressable fire alarm control panels. The interface provides information through a graphical menu system and color display while operating over a high-speed Ethernet LAN/WAN or single-user network. Each alarm, trouble, or supervisory event is displayed on a color-coded display or with a floor plan pinpointing the exact alarm location. The interface provides authorized users vision and control over an entire network of up to 250 fire alarm panels from a single PC workstation. All user actions and events are logged and recorded to create customized reports.

8. Fire Alarm Control Panel 127 addressable points

   The fire alarm control panel features a digital communication protocol that uses standard wiring so no twisted pair or shielded cable is required. It performs drift compensation and an automatic NFPA 72-compliant sensitivity check. It uses a 6 amp 24v DC power supply and provides programming capability from the on-board user interface or via the SCSS PC-based programming software. The panel supports 127 addressable points and can be expanded to up to 508 points. It features a built-in digital communicator and an integrated dead-front cabinet.

9. File Secure Cabinets Prevent unauthorized access

   The cabinets have bars that stop file cabinet drawers from being opened. One motion releases all locking points, allowing the spring-loaded bar to swing out of the way. The bars come in sizes that fit one-drawer to five-drawer file cabinets. Their design provides sufficient clearance for adjacent file drawers to open and close, regardless if the bar is locked or unlocked. The bar's 16-gauge, formed-steel construction is bolstered by an inner slide bar that interlocks with a locking lug at each drawer opening. 10. Air Sampling Smoke Detector Monitors air through pipe network

    The smoke detection system uses ultrasonic flow sensing, a circular display and pre-engineered piping to continuously monitor the flow of air. The system provides tolerance to contamination, immunity to temperature changes and altitude, and flow measurement in liters-per-minute. A dual-stage filter and the incorporation of a clean air bleed in the detection chamber help prevent the unit from being contaminated by dust or other air-borne contaminants. The circular display provides the level of fire threat. An illuminated dial, LEDs and related icons can be seen from a distance for identification of smoke growth and alarm conditions. An “Instant Diagnostics” feature converts the smoke dial into a diagnostic indicator that identifies the detector's status.

11. Ethernet Switch Three redundancy levels

    The 3-port Ethernet switch offers three levels of redundancy when equipped in a ring with four or more individual units. In the event of a fiber failure, the switch re-routes the Ethernet data onto the other fiber in less than a second for uninterrupted transmission. The switch uses a trunking port to re-route Ethernet data onto other fibers. The switch will provide point-to-point transmission of three 10/100 mbps Ethernet data signals over one multimode or single mode optical fiber with the fourth port operating as the trunking port. Each model features contact closure and LEDs to tell the user when the primary or secondary loop is operating.

12. Photocontrol Multiple sensor electronic circuit

14. IP Intercom System Video pop-up function

    The intercom station allows intercom speaker stations to communicate with the supplier's line of SecureLink Encoders, providing audio functionality. The station turns the supplier's Latitude client workstation into a two-way intercom master station. When the call button is activated, audio and video are routed to the Latitude client workstation, enabling the user to view and listen to what is happening at the call site. A video pop-up function allows the user to switch to a new call without losing the previous connection. The intercom station permits visual verification of the caller's ID and enables assessment of the conditions at the remote calling location.

15. CCTV Power Supplies Individually fused AC outputs

    The power supplies are designed for a variety of applications and provide individually fused AC outputs to operate CCTV cameras and other video accessories. The power supplies have both 12v DC and 24v AC, from 300ma to 8amps of regulated supply current.     The camera domes are vandal-resistant and provide field-of-view and day/night capabilities. Camera/lens options include high-resolution color or day/night with a 2.6-6mm varifocal lens. The unit provides 180-degree camera mounting adjustment, and an injection-molded polycarbonate dome protects the camera from shock. Mounting options include in-ceiling, wall and pendant-mount. Access Control Panel

Native IP connection

The access control panel has a Native IP connection through a category-5 jack mounted on the CPU of the panel. This connection allows a direct Ethernet connection to the panel, without using an intermediate serial-to-Ethernet converter. The panel is controlled by the supplier's software, an access control system that integrates badging, CCTV, DVR, elevator control, guard tour, time-and-attendance and facility management. The panel is available with input-to-output mapping, with logical relationships (AND, OR, NOT ALL, NONE) and output behaviors (limit, counter, inverted). The CPU features a 10 Mb Ethernet jack, plus LEDs to indicate the status of the network connection.

RFID Middleware Platform

For data management

The RFID middleware platform facilitates the development, deployment and management of large-scale RFID applications. The software program collects data gathered from an RFID system, deciphers and filters that information so only useful data is passed on to a user's enterprise system. It provides critical software infrastructure that resides between data collection devices and the back-end systems to manage continual information flow, decision support and real-time responses. Tracking Software System

For inventory management

The supplier's Inventory Track computerized system includes software, hand-held computers and barcodes. Users can track the receiving, storing and transferring of items or inventory using hand-held computers. The tracking software combines a series of databases and a report module with functions such as time-and-date stamping, barcoded labels and reports. The software uses five databases to keep track of information including a user database, a location database, an item database, a relationship database and a transaction database.

RFID Access Control

Supervises single access points in offline mode

The RFID access control system allows for supervising of single access points in offline mode. The device fits into a standard in-wall cabling fixing. It handles up to 200 RFID tags which can be carried like a key on a keyring. As soon as an allowed tag is detected, the door is opened via an electrical door opener. The system can recall the last 3,000 access attempts to be analyzed.
