Take nighttime surveillance on the road

Military-style nighttime mobile surveillance is available at a commercially attractive price, according to Nanoquest Defense Products, York, U.K. The company's Mobile Surveillance Vehicle (MSV) offers thermal imaging for passive surveillance applications such as border patrol, security and anti-smuggling operations.
MSV was developed in conjunction with border police services and customs and excise authorities. Based on a Volkswagen T4 four-wheel-drive van, the MSV employs a rapid deployable arm system carrying the IRIS 6340 thermal imager with pan/tilt head. In addition, the vehicle carries dual video recording facilities, monitors and a control console.
The main advantage of the vehicle is that a surveillance team can arrive at a target viewpoint, deploy equipment and be fully operational within a few minutes, says Nanoquest.
Nanoquest has a range of thermal imaging cameras suitable to long-range surveillance operations.
