Galaxy Control Systems, Walkersville, Md., has opened a West Coast office in Orange County, Calif., and named William Newill as sales manager.
Jeff Roth has been named president and Frank Polidoro has been named national sales manager of Corby Industries Inc., Allentown, Pa.
Sensormatic Electronics, Boca Raton, Fla., has appointed Geoff Gudgion as marketing director of its European commercial and industrial division. He will report to James Rathbone, general manager of the division, and will be based in Harefield, England.
Pinkerton, Encino, Calif., has promoted Mark Wathen to sales manager for Southern California. He has been National Sales Rookie of the Year and has won Pinkerton's Team Player Award for Southern California. Also, James Fleshood, vice president, field operations for the Midwest, has been presented with Pinkerton's Thomas W. Wathen Award for Excellence - the company's most prestigious executive-level honor.
Marray Enterprises, Santa Clara, Calif., has introduced Paul Wessem as its vice president of sales and marketing.
Diane Darrow, CAE, has been named executive director of the SmartCard Forum, a cross-industry effort promoting acceptance of multiple-application smart card technology in North America. She will direct strategic implementations, including the Educational Institute, Working Groups, member communications, symposia and meetings, and membership recruitment. American Protective Services, Oakland, Calif., has hired Anthony Person as national director of health care services. He will redesign the company's security training programs for the health care industry. Jerry Werner has been promoted to regional vice president in the Pacific Northwest/Mountain States region.
Kroll Associates, New York, has named Michael Slattery as executive managing director responsible for North America. He will also be a member of the executive operating committee - the company's management board. Christopher Marquet has been named senior managing director responsible for global business development. He will continue to maintain oversight responsibilities for Kroll Information Services, the firm's global risk assessment division.
Michael Ramelli has been named as northwest regional sales manager of Vicon Industries, Melville, N.Y. He brings more than 16 years experience to the position.
Minneapolis-based Winsted Corp., has appointed Hong Kong-based Peter Baker as its Far East sales manager. He will manage the new Winsted Asia office, and his territories will include Korea, Japan, Taiwan, all of Southeast Asia and Australia. Charles Evett has been named export sales manager of Winsted Ltd., U.K., a marketing, distributing and manufacturing facility serving the European, Middle East and African markets.
Kenneth Meyerson has joined New York-based Holmes Protection Group as sales manager, corporate development. He brings more than 23 years experience to the position.
Stephen Davis has joined SpectaGuard as vice president. He will oversee the integrated asset protection company's electronic security components from the company's new facility in Philadelphia. Christine Vaz has been promoted to vice president of marketing for Richardson Electronic Security Systems, Houston. As director of marketing, she integrated marketing, product management and purchasing for the company.
Gregory Smith has been appointed director of electronic security systems at Mosler Inc., Hamilton, Ohio. He will direct marketing of electronic security products.
Carl Van Jennings will serve as vice president of operations for Sytron Inc., Broomfield, Colo. He will be responsible for manufacturing, materials, quality assurance and facilities management.
The access control division of Trine Products, Bronx, N.Y., has named Glenn Walter as regional sales manager and Gary Ferguson as technical support and training manager.
