Chase succeeds Spiller as exec director of SIA The Security Industry Association (SIA), Alexandria, Va., has promoted Richard Chace to executive director, succeeding executive director Ron Spiller, who retired at the end of 2000. David Saddler has been promoted from director of communications to director of strategic planning and communications. Neil Ivey has been promoted to director of industry groups and government affairs.

Adyoron Intelligent Systems, Dallas, has appointed William Troy Pack senior vice president of sales and marketing.

Murray Kreuzer has joined Extreme CCTV, Burnaby, British Columbia, as sales executive. He will work out of the company's new offices in Vancouver. Melissa Bailey has joined Extreme CCTV as regional sales manager.

3M has chosen Dr. Steven J. Harrold as department manager for its Security Market Center.

Mark J. Goldstein has been selected as product marketing manager for the Access Control Division of Sensormatic Electronics, Boca Raton, Fla.

Tim Russell has joined Detection Systems, Fairport, N.Y., as the district sales manager for the Mid-Atlantic region. Leonard Thavenius has been chosen as district sales manager for the region encompassing New York City, upstate New York and New Jersey.

TechGuard Security, St. Louis, has appointed Aron F. Thomas as president of security services.

Frank Conforti has been selected as eastern sales manager at Rokonet USA, Elmsford, N.Y.

SCS, San Diego, has named Jack LeVan as president and chief executive officer.

Pedro Duarte has joined Fiber Options, Bohemia, N.Y., as sales director for Latin America.

Group 4 Securitas, Torrance, Calif., has appointed Scott Lee as Rocky Mountains regional sales manager.

Sylvain Desrosiers has been promoted to president and CEO of Alco Technologies, Montreal. Desrosiers joined Alco in 1997 as president of the Weston, Fla., subsidiary. Stephen Kleiman has been selected as vice president of sales at Alco Advanced Technologies, Weston, Fla. Richard Reid has been appointed director of technical support at Alco Advanced Technologies.

Darrell Scherbarth, president of Optranet, has joined the board of directors of RedCreek Communications, Newark, Calif.

Craig Chretien, a 25-year veteran of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), has joined IPSA International, Atlanta, as managing director of its Los Angeles office.
