Sentry Protections appoints new president Near North National Group, Chicago, has appointed William H. Schrack as president of Sentry Protections Systems Inc., Chicago. Schrack's management experience includes four years as vice president and general manager of the protection and security provider TEK Electronics Systems.
Bob Kraatz has been appointed to manage the technical services department of Irine, Calif.-based Hirsch Electronics. Kraatz will manage Hirsch's technical support, testing, document control and product evaluation, as well as implement the infrastructure to accommodate continued expansion.
Frisco Bay Industries Ltd., Montreal, has appointed Jim Spencer of Tartan Group Inc. to its board of directors.
The company has also appointed Jennifer London as director of new business development.
IPSA International, Oakland, Calif., announces that Michael Byrd has joined the firm as director of operations in insurance investigations for the East Coast.
Amano Cincinnati, a manufacturer of time information and parking systems, Roseland, N.J., named Gerry Miller as vice president of sales and marketing.
Shawn McElhinney has been named materials manager of TOA Electronics Inc., South San Francisco, Calif. McElhinney will be responsible for the distribution and logistics of TOA inventory from warehouses in South San Francisco and Chicago.
HID, Irvine, Calif., has hired David Andreychuk to replace Doug Wood as western regional sales manager. Wood has been promoted to North American sales manager.
Paul A. Williams was elected international president of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, Rolling Meadows, Ill., during the organization's conference in July. Williams is a partner with the Arthur Andersen Business Risk Consulting and Assurance Division.
Sensormatic Electronics Corp., Boca Raton, Fla., has announced the promotion of Dan Cremins to product manager, switcher systems, and Larry Wanvig to manager, system sales/applications engineer for the company's Video Products Division. Cremins will be responsible for the development of larger matrix switching systems and accessories. Wanvig will provide pre-sales technical support for the company's matrix switching systems.
PanaVise Products Inc., Reno, Nev., has announced the appointment of Cliff Tam as associate product manager. Tam will provide marketing support for the communications and security product lines.
C.O.P.S. Monitoring, Williamstown, N.J., has hired Bart Weiner as an additional account manager, to sign up new dealers and work with current dealers.
Keri Systems Inc., San Jose, Calif., has announced that Michael Danger has joined Keri Systems (Australia) as national sales and marketing manager. Danger's primary focus will be on developing an Australian network of system integrators and manufacturers to promote and distribute Keri's line of OEM proximity readers, cards and tags designed for access control.
Ed Norton has rejoined American Protective Services, Oakland, Calif., as manager of its Las Vegas branch. Before rejoining APS Las Vegas, Norton was the Nevada district manager for Pinkerton.
