People in the News: Cardkey Systems appoints Young as president and COO

Patrick Young has been named president and chief operating officer of Cardkey Systems, Simi Valley, Calif., a subsidiary of Johnson Controls. He has been employed by Johnson Controls for 20 years.
Pinkerton Inc., West Lake Village, Calif., has appointed Warwick Stacey as managing director of the company's Business Risks International group, based in Asia. He joined Pinkerton in March 1999 as managing director of Pinkerton Australia.
Control Installations, Des Moines, Iowa, has named Traci Kaas as director of sales and marketing of its Access Sentry software.
Intermec Technologies Corp., Dallas, has appointed Greg Mann as vice president of sales and market development for its Dallas-based RFID business unit.
Gary Alton has been appointed director of the Security Management Division of Swailes, Sheridan, Slade & Associates, which is headquartered in Houston.
Dedicated Micros has named John Humphrey as group managing director. Humphrey has been with the company since March 1998 and was group managing director in a temporary capacity since February 1999.
William J. Gilbane III has been selected the manager of business develop- ment at Guardian Bastille, Smithfield, R.I.
LARES Technology has selected Matt Manis as national director of sales for its Web-based access control products.
Fiber Options, Bohemia, N.Y., has announced additions to its customer service staff. Joseph Crowley has joined as an applications engineer. Marie D'Abbraccio has joined as a customer service representative. Bob Connelly was promoted from associate engineer to applications engineer.
Honeywell has selected Bill Richardson as application engineering manager. He will be responsible for providing technical sales support for dealers in the western region of the United States.
Rick Snook, president of Brass Security Systems, has been elected president of the board of directors of the Canadian Alarm and Security Association (CANASA) for the 1999-2001 term. Curtis Gray, president of AAA Alarm Systems, was elected vice president. Sandy Hislop, a manager at Chubb Security Systems, was elected secretary and Dennis Hollingshead, president and CEO of Counterforce Inc., was elected treasurer.
Moshe Ronen has been chosen as president and chief executive officer of NICE Systems; to take office in May of 2000. He was formerly president of Golden Channels, an Israeli cable TV company.
HID Corporation has promoted Joe Grillo to executive vice president. Grillo has been with HID since 1993.
Protection Technology, Philadelphia, has named Charles Manilla as vice president and chief adminstrative officer for its corporate office.
Versus Technology has appointed John Hunepohl as director of sales for the security products division.
Joseph Bellino has been appointed director of consulting services for Professional Security Bureau.
