People in the News: NICE Systems appoints Gorovici as VP of security and CCTV

NICE Systems, Secaucus, N.J., has appointed Eli Gorovici as vice president of security and CCTV for North America. He previously served as director of business development.

Gary Aratoli has been chosen as regional sales manager for NAPCO Security Group, Amityville, N.Y. He will be responsible for sales in Colorado, Utah, Nevada and Northern California.

Dan Sterry has been appointed director of business development at Lenel Systems International, Rochester, N.Y. Victor Merino has joined Lenel as director for Latin America. Kelvin Tse has been selected as director for Asia-Pacific.

Fiber Options, Bohemia, N.Y., has announced several personnel changes. Robert DeLia, the company's founder, has returned to the company to lead the sales department. He founded Fiber Options in 1987. John Collins has been appointed as COO and executive vice president. Kevin Wall is now in charge of operations on the production floor. He has been with the company since 1997. The company has also added Jaymin Soni to the management information systems department.

WSE, Fremont, Calif., has selected Mark Baxter as strategic account manager for its North American field sales group. Peter Harris has been appointed area sales manager for the North American field sales group. Harris was previously with Honeywell Security & Surveillance in Toronto. Sensormatic has appointed John DiNapoli as product line marketing manager for C*Cure 1 Plus and 750 systems.

Peter Honig has been chosen as director of engineering for the access control and SensorID division of Sensormatic Electronics, Boca Raton, Fla.

Larry Doan has been appointed director of Derwent Extreme Technologies, Langley, British Columbia, Canada, which is the parent company of Extreme CCTV.

Group 4 Securitas, Carson, Calif., has appointed John Joyce as Northeast regional sales manager.

Charles H. Cogswell has been appointed director of the threat assessment and management division of Gavin De Becker Inc., Studio City, Calif., Paul Wright has been chosen as senior case manager. He was previously a member of the Los Angeles Police Department for 31 years.

Allied-SpectaGuard, King of Prussia, Pa., has appointed Ronald Rabena as senior vice president for the Mid/South Atlantic region and John Redden as senior vice president of the Northeast region. Rabena and Redden were previously regional vice presidents.

AuthenTec, Melbourne, Fla., has appointed David H. Esto as vice president of sales. He will oversee the company's worldwide sales operations and account management.

Linda Johansen has been chosen as human resources manager for Greater Alarm Co., Irvine, Calif.

Silent Witness Enterprises, Surrey, British Columbia, has selected John Francis as director of research and development.

Digital Security Controls (DSC), Concord, Ontario, has inducted Bill Darr and Glenn Maxwell into the DSC Circle of Excellence.
