Badging And Management System

Iris recognition capabilities

The badging and management system enables users to register and print temporary identification badges unassisted with detailed entry/egress logs for tracking and report generation. The system employs the supplier's BM-ET300 and Authenticam iris recognition systems. The system consists of a registration station and an authentication station. Users first register with security personnel to capture an iris code image and ID photo. Users then log onto the system using iris recognition. Upon verification, a temporary ID badge is generated from a laser printer networked into the system.

Feature: multiple lobby authentication stations can be networked for campus-wide applications.

Electronic Article Surveillance System

Automated alarm management

The automated EAS alarm management system enables users to track alarms on an ATM-type panel, which records elapsed response time, reason, location and system status. Using the keypad, or an optional scanner, additional point-of-sale information such as aisle/cashier and items recovered can be logged. The resulting alarm incident report becomes part of the centralized database.

Biometric Security Software

Authentication for remote workers

The software replaces text-based passwords with biometric authentication methods, such as fingerprint, voice, iris and facial recognition. The software is an enhanced version of the supplier's biometric security product for Novell Directory Service (NDS) networks. It enables Novell eDirectory users to biometrically authenticate over a remote connection such as a Citrix session, Windows Terminal Services, or an XP Remote Desktop session.

Features: smart card support; user authority delegation; enrollment options; disconnected logon functionality; and server-based computing.

Barrier Arm Optical Turnstiles

Reduced size and motorized retracting

The optical turnstiles combine reduced size and motorized retracting barrier arms with optical technology for secure bi-directional access control. The turnstiles operate in three user-configurable modes, including arms normally open, arms normally closed and barrier free. Local and/or remote alarms notify security personnel of attempted unauthorized passage in any of the three modes. Card readers and other access control devices may be integrated for use within the turnstiles.

Feature: GateKeeper administration software enables all installed SU3000 turnstiles to be configured and monitored from a single PC.
