AIPHONE CORP.
Aiphone's NEW Open Voice Color Video System
Aiphone Corporation introduces the new hands-free JB Series Color Video Entry Security System. The system was designed for ease of use while providing exceptional viewing and communication capabilities within an access-controlled environment. When the call-in button is pressed at the door station, audio and video are instantly activated at the inside color video monitor. Then, by simply pressing the large talk button on the inside monitor, the hands-free VOX communication between door station and monitor is initiated. The door release button can easily activate an electric door strike. In addition, the system can monitor entry areas from any room station as well as providing all call between units.
The system features include door release contact, multi-color call-in LED and chime tone volume control. The 3.5” color TFT monitor provides a crisp, clear picture even in low light settings due to the built-in door station LED illuminators. The sleek, modern look of the video door stations allow for an attractive entry presentation. Expand the system by adding two interior stations and/or one exterior station. Each station can be either audio/video or audio only. Selective door release, call extender and a picture memory unit can also be added to complement the series.
Aiphone Corporation is the North American division of Aiphone Company, Ltd., the world's largest intercom manufacturer. Aiphone products range from simple audio-only two station systems to sophisticated computer door answering intercoms. Aiphone is the first and only intercom manufacturer worldwide to receive the coveted Deming Prize for quality control, as well as ISO-9001:2000 and ISO-14001 certification.

AMAG TECHNOLOGY
AMAG Plays Key Role In U.S. Government Smart Card Programs
In July 2003, the U.S. federal government published a specification for the use of contactless smart cards throughout its departments. The new contactless specification, technically referred to as GSCIS 2.1, complements the federal government's existing contact smart card standards published a year earlier (GSCIS.20). For almost ten years, AMAG Technology has been helping the U.S. federal government deploy large-scale smart card-based enterprise access control systems and is now playing a central role in delivering systems that support these new specifications.
On the contact side, a massive AMAG Enterprise access control system is supporting thousands of Department of Defense Common Access Cards at numerous military facilities across the nation. On the contactless side, AMAG recently completed the installation of an AMAG Enterprise system at the headquarters of the Department of the Interior (DOI). The AMAG-DOI system features the first implementation of the new contactless smart card specification as well as integrated digital video recording (DVR).
The AMAG S731 smart card reader supports the federal government's contact smart card specification as well as its contactless specification. Numerous federal agencies, including the DoD and the DOI, are already using the AMAG S731 reader. Some of AMAG's private sector customers who work closely with the government have also installed the AMAG S731 reader to ensure that their facilities meet the federal government's standards for security among businesses that work with it.

The D7212G Control/Communicator, available to Bosch Certified Security Dealers, provides flexibility and power all at an unequalled value. The panel has four areas, forty points and accommodates 99 users. Supervising up to eight command centers, it has a 1,000-event log and connects to Bosch Security Systems' award-winning D6600 NetCom System. The D7212G has a commanding feature set and is value priced for low- to mid-range commercial burglary, residential burglary and residential fire applications.
Engineered on the same platform as Bosch Security Systems' D9412G and D7412G panels, the D7212G uses the same command centers including the new, award-winning D1260 ATM style keypad, as well as other peripherals and the same programming tools.
The D7212G is available in kits packaged to provide the best value and give customers the added convenience of purchasing a system with all the necessary modules for installations at a packaged price.
“The D7212G is a true low- to mid-range solution that rounds out our panel offering,” stated Sean Swagerty, Product Manager. “Due to its feature set and kit price, the D7212G is extremely competitive in the low- to mid-range market. Operationally, the D7212G is very similar to our D9412G and D7412G panels, so Bosch Certified Security Dealers (BCSD) will find it extremely easy to integrate into their existing product line-up.”

GE SECURITY
GE Security Alliance: Single User Interface For Access Control, Intrusion Detection
With GE Security's Alliance, users can obtain a system with a unique smart card technology to manage their facilities more easily and economically. Monitoring can be on-site, off-site or a combination of both.
One card manages both intrusion and access control. The card that gets you through the door also turns off the alarm. In a community hospital, authorized doctors and pharmacists can use their cards to open the drug cabinets without an alarm. If anyone else tries to open them, the alarm activates.
This unique, combined functionality of intrusion and access control with built-in central station command lets users, such as light industrial offices, mid-range multi-tenant commercial buildings, shopping malls and community hospitals, install just one system for both applications. There is only one platform to learn, manage, maintain and service. Plus, their dealers can perform diagnostics remotely from their offices.
The unique contactless smart card and tag technology features a high-level 4-byte security code and read/write encryption. With it, users can program and reprogram cards on site, creating individual authorizations for doors, areas and time zones. They can also use the smart cards and tags to control functionalities, such as managing locks. For instance, users can present a card once to disarm and unlock a door and three times to re-arm and lock the door.
Using the contactless smart cards, users can additionally administer credit accounts for cardholders, such as deducting credits when the card is used at the company cafeteria or keep time and attendance data.

HID CORP.
Enhance Your Security With Dual Authentication Of Identity!
When your access control application requires enhanced security, deploy HID's iCLASS
Using 13.56 MHz contactless smart card technology, the iCLASS RK40 and RWK400 provide the ability to combine a contactless card presentation with a personal identification number (PIN) to support dual authentication of identity. Or, configure the panel for single-factor authentication, using only a card or a PIN.
The PIN can be verified either at the access control panel or locally by the keypad reader. When verified locally, the PIN must be programmed into the iCLASS card.
Supporting read/write applications, the RWK400 offers the same features as the RK40, with the extended ability to read/write user data to HID iCLASS credentials. Read/write applications include biometric template storage, and storage/retrieval of data such as health records, time and attendance, and digital cash.
Featuring the same crisp architectural styling found in other iCLASS products, the keypad reader and reader/writer have an elegantly curved faceplate with a 12-position weatherproof keypad. The keypad also features vandal-resistant metal keycaps and backlit numbering.
A standard Wiegand output easily interfaces with most existing access control panels. The RWK400 is also equipped with a bi-directional serial port configurable for RS-232 or RS-485 operation to provide connection to a PC or microcontroller.

WINSTED
Winsted Racks Up Two New Winning Lines
Winsted's highly regarded Pro Series II has added nine new sizes to its line of vertical equipment racks. Marketing Manager, Bob Pep, said “When we designed this series, we considered what they'd contain — racks, drawers, cooling fans, pull-out keyboards — then we constructed the rack around those visualized products.” It's an application of the old maxim that ‘form follows function’. The resulting racks are remarkably strong, convenient, economical and efficient.
The models are all-welded with mar-resistant black, powder coat finish for maximum strength and service life. All have leg levelers, large corner uprights, lift-off side panels and open pedestals to facilitate wire management. And all of the Pro Series II models have larger upright frames for improved load carrying capacity and can be ganged together without removing mounted electronics.
Winsted's multi-monitor LCD/3 Series is designed especially for control rooms, security headquarters and similar locations. Their 39” profile, which allows operators to easily see over monitors as they work, still provides 21” of rack space. Space-saving features include zero-clearance corners and welded top modules that are only 10” deep and zero-clearance corners. Cabinet depth extensions are available.
The LCD 3 series features a powder coat black finish, convenient lift-off panels in the front, back and corner frames for access to equipment and wires, and a locking feature for security. Open base and rear 3/4" and 1" conduit knockouts ease cable management.
Pep added that “These two new lines reflect the progressive approach that Winsted's taken throughout 40 years of technical furniture design.”
