Engineered for Reliability

The Zebra P430i^™ desktop plastic card printer/encoder features increased flexibility and performance. The P430i takes all of the advantages of Zebra's most popular card printer, the P330i, and then adds the benefit of dual-sided printing to meet the needs of a wide variety of mission-critical applications in corporations, government agencies, educational institutions, and retail environments.

Innovative design features include a patented card feeder system that provides reliability via simplicity, using the weight of the card stack itself to ensure consistent feeding. A self adjusting printhead provides uniform print quality with vibrant, crisp colors.

Contact smart card encoding and magnetic stripe encoding are available with the P430i. With these options, users can encode magnetic stripes and encode/read ISO 7816 contact smart chips (the most common contact smart card standard).

Zebra also offers built-in Ethernet connectivity as a factory-installed or field upgradeable option, allowing remote printing and remote encoding. Based on a next-generation 10/100 Mbps design, the printer can be administered remotely from any location using ZebraNet^® Bridge Print Server utility software. The P430i also identifies magnetic stripe cards that fail to encode correctly which are automatically sent to a reject bin before printing. This saves the operator money by not wasting print ribbon on non-functional cards.

Contactless Smart Card Technology for Many Applications

Contactless Smart Card technology is the wave of the future for Access Control and data collection applications such as point-of-sale, package tracking, electronic ticketing, manufacturing process control, loyalty card programs, and more. Secura Key, with thirty-five years experience manufacturing card readers and cards, is a leader in the development of 13.56 MHz reader/writers and transponder packaging. The ever-growing e*Tag^® line of products are compatible with ISO 15693 and ISO 14443A/B technologies.

e*Tag^® Reader/Writers

e*Tag^® readers and reader/writers have been engineered to work with a variety of ISO 15693-compliant tags with 512 to 10K or more bits of memory, including Texas Instruments, Philips iCode and Infineon MyD. e*Tag^® can also read the Unique Identifier (UID) on ISO 14443A/B contactless smart cards.

Secura Key offers low-cost ISO 15693 read-only e*Tag readers with a Wiegand output for access control applications. e*Tag^® units are also available with RS-232, RS-485, USB or TTL two-way communications for complete read/write functionality. Some e*Tag^® read/write units also provide a second channel, which can be used for one-way Wiegand communications or may be configured for other inputs or open collector output operations.

e*Tag^® units are very compact and operate at very low power (as little as 30 milliamps). The e*Tag^® line includes a variety of housing designs, including weatherproof mini-mullion, standard mullion, traditional or Decorator style wallswitch, or desktop/countertop models. Some models are available with external 50-ohm antennas. An e*Tag^® PC board and API are also available for systems integrators and software developers with embedded applications.
