Proximity Card Reader

The Sentinel-Prox NDK-2300 proximity card reader is combined with a non-destructible keypad made of anodized metal. The keypad uses Barantec's Everswitch solid state piezo technology to ensure the combination proximity reader/keypad has no moving parts. The keypad incorporates ceramic sensors embedded below the metal surface that activate based on pressure only, thereby eliminating the weak point of traditional keypads, the keys themselves. The proximity reader is vandal-resistant and designed for use in harsh environments and hazardous applications. The anodized surface prevents numbers on the keypad from wearing.

Emergency Alert System

The wireless audio visual emergency community alerting system (WAVES CAS) and the tactical community alerting system (TACCAS) are used for Homeland security, industrial and natural disasters, accidents, criminal activity, terrorist attacks and acts of war. The WAVES CAS public alerting and warning system broadcasts safety sirens, live and recorded voice messages and visual alerts via wireless networks that warn and inform communities of what to do in an emergency or disaster. TACCAS, a portable system, is used for disaster relief, humanitarian missions and temporary events. The standalone alerting system is a self-contained unit, requires minimal operator setup and can be rapidly deployed as a fully functional alerting system.

Blast Mitigation Tool

The Blastec Bomb Bin is a self-inflating blast mitigation tool that can be rapidly deployed to provide temporary blast mitigation and fragment retention. It is made from internally reinforced fabric, and is designed to be deployed manually or robotically using bomb disposal equipment. To deploy, the bin is first filled with air to provide stability, and then water through a hose. The water displaces the air through a pressure relief valve (PRV). The unit is open at the top and bottom to facilitate deployment and access to the suspect object if required.

ID Authentication System

OptiKey, a real-time ID authentication system, matches the optical signature of an ID card or document to a matched structure found in the reader/correlator, making the document impossible to counterfeit, copy or duplicate. The analog authentication process creates a unique signature in a sub-micron optical master. The optical master signature is embedded in the ID label, which is then verified in real-time by a matched optical structure found in the optical reader.

Planned scenarios can be set up in advance, or quickly added to meet the threat. With the click of a mouse, the emergency broadcast hits every PC, television or plasma screen in the targeted buildings. Emergency messages, pre-defined or new, can override software programs being used at the time. The border of the screen pulses red to grab the attention of the user.

Video Surveillance System

GuardianWATCH, an automated video surveillance system, is enhanced with Continuous Target Video (CTV) to broadcast before, during and after a security breach and display an intruder's movements to local and off-site responders. CTV is generated through target-tracking network technology that manages perimeter surveillance cameras as a single entity to track targets. Target hand-offs are executed between fixed field-of-view cameras, and pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) cameras. The cameras can be video, near infrared or infrared.
