Education: Associate's degree in criminal justice; bachelor's of science degree in criminal justice administration and master's degree in psychological counseling.

Personal: Married with three children (two of whom are in law enforcement), two grandchildren.

Personal philosophy: If you always do what you have always done, you will always be what you have always been.

One word that best describes you: Perseverance.

Leisure activities: Hiking, reading, and traveling.

Most treasured material possession: Bible that my father gave to me when I was 9 years old.
