COMPANY DESCRIPTION

SDC specializes in the development and manufacture of premium grade access hardware products. Established in 1972, SDC has established itself as the largest independently owned manufacturer of access hardware in the U.S. Furthermore, SDC is part of a select group of ISO 9001 manufacturers that practice an internationally recognized quality management program and was recently recognized by the California State Assembly for quality and impact on state economy.

As a member of the BHMA (Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association) Subcommittee for the Development of Product Standards, the SDC staff contributes expertise and experience for the development of ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards for electromechanical and electromagnetic access hardware.

Products are sold worldwide through an authorized distribution network of electronic security product distributors. Support is provided through 43 sales offices worldwide.

SDC's wide range of products are utilized wherever access control is required. World-renowned installations include J.F.K. International Airport, Saudi Arabia's two largest international airports, Kuala Lumpur International Airport, J. Paul Getty Museum, L.A., Duke Power nuclear plants, Bank of America and Exxon.

TECHNOLOGIES

SDC is highly respected for new product development and in a recent benchmark survey was rated #1 in New Product Innovation. In addition, SDC has received eight SIA (Security Industry Association) “Security Industry Finest” awards for new product development since 1997 and has been recognized by SIA for “Commitment to Innovation and Excellence in Development” for five consecutive years.

TECHNICAL SERVICES

The customer service department is fully staffed with application-experienced sales personnel and engineers to discuss an application, assist with product selection, specifications and system design. In a recent benchmark survey, SDC was rated #1 in both customer service and technical expertise.
