Sensormatic appoints Onkenhout senior VP of integrated solutions

Sensormatic, Boca Raton, Fla., has appointed Hein J. Onkenhout to the newly created position of senior vice president of integrated solutions and design services.
METASeS, Atlanta, has selected J. Chad Grier as president and chief executive officer. Jeffrey Johnson, the founder and former CEO, will continue to serve as the chairman and chief strategy officer.
Allied Security, King of Prussia, Pa., has named Neil Miller its Security Officer of the Year. Allied selected Miller from 18,000 security officers across the country. The award is voted on by Allied's top executives, in addition to local and regional management.
Per Levin has been promoted to vice president and general manager, European Operations at Checkpoint Systems, Thorofare, N.J.
Mike Carfley has joined appGate, Durham, N.C., as executive vice president of worldwide sales and marketing.
Aiphone, Bellevue, Washington, has appointed Nancy McAlister to vice president of national accounts for the Western Region. Roy Paeth has been appointed to vice president of national accounts for the Mid-West Region. Chuck Watkins has been appointed to vice president of national accounts for the Eastern Region. John Mosebar has been promoted to vice president of new business development/research and planning
Stento USA, Kansas City, Mo., has awarded Kerry Orr, South Eastern regional sales manager, its “Stento Sales Manager of the World” award. Mitch Winden, the company's North Central regional manager, won the Presidents Golden Circle award.
OpenNetwork Technologies, Clearwater, Fla., has appointed Manny Fernandez to its board of directors. Fernandez is managing director of SI Ventures, a venture-capital firm specializing in information technology and communications infrastructure companies that enable e-business.
Kenneth Makela has been named director of marketing of The Maxx Patrol Inc, Richmond, Va., a security patrol group. Makela was formerly a Henrico, Va., county police officer.
HID Corp., Irvine, Calif., has hired Mark Scaparro as executive vice president of sales and marketing. Mark will oversee HID's domestic and international sales efforts as well as direct its marketing and new business development programs.
The Databac Group, Surrey, England, a specialist provider of identification solutions, has appointed Charles Van Asma as general manager. He will manage the group's operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Dave Shay has joined Teleste Surveillance Networks, Georgetown, Texas, as national accounts manager.
