Loma Linda University Medical Center (Calif.) is securing medications and special equipment kept in approximately 100 drawers and cabinets with a “Locknetics On Board” standalone access control locking system from IR Security and Safety's Electronic Access Control Division (EACD), Forestville, Conn. Nurses can open the door and cabinet locks by entering a code on the locks' keypad.
NKL Safes, New Albany, Ind., has selected access control technology from Bioscrypt Inc., Toronto, to control access to safes for cash management markets by integrating Bioscrypt's OEM module into their AuditLok XLV system as a way to provide positive user identification.

Duval County Public Schools (Jacksonville, Fla.) will install digital CCTV equipment in 17 high schools, 25 middle schools, administration offices, warehouses and some elementary schools from GE Interlogix's Kalatel division, Corvallis, Ore. At the high schools and middle schools, the system will monitor facilities with 59,000-plus students.
